An LM7805 voltage regulator converts the 12v input power to 5v. Since the Daughtercard requires 12v power, the another line is routed directly from the 12v input jack to the DDS Daughtercard connector (J6). A TO-220 style 5v regulator was selected so that power consumption limits would never be a problem.
