WW2. At the outbreak of the Second World War Churchill was again appointed First Lord of the Admiralty, just as he was in the first part of the First World War. The Navy were very pleased about this, they said "Winston's back!" At the beginning of the WW2 King George VI asked Churchill to be Prime Minister and to form an all-party government.
