Composite Index of Leading Indicators Definition
The Conference Board prepares a monthly index of leading economic indicators at the national level for the Department of Commerce. The national index rose a half point, from 103.1 at the end of July to 103.6 at the end of October, 1996. The fourth quarter Meyers County LEI results closely paralleled those of the national LEI.
