Export Compliance provides support in compliance risk management, i.e. the risk of legal or administrative sanctions, financial losses or reputation deterioration for failing to comply with laws, regulations and legislation, codes of conduct and good practice (“laws, regulations and rules”).
What are the documents required for export?
Electronic Export Information (EEI) is the most common of all export control documents. It is required for shipments above $2,500* and for shipments of any value requiring an export license. It has to be electronically filed via the AES Direct online system, which is a free service from Census and Customs.
