Just In Time (JIT) Production concept was initiated by the Japanese and was implemented in 1950-1960 by Toyota, and then followed by many other Japanese companies (Ian, 1991). It is a concept used to keep inventories low and the key features of this production concept were perfected by Toyota in Japan.
