One group improved their prognosis from a 10-month average after surgery to a 19-month average (90% increase). In a separate study specific to glioblastoma multiforme (Stage IV cancer), the most aggressive and infiltrative brain tumor, the use of imaging to help locate and resect tumors increased the median survival rate from 19 weeks to 70 weeks.2,8
