I have taken the terms and abbreviations from documents, books and training manuals in my possession and also from discussions with serving and retired gunners of all ranks. I initially started out to list just the abbreviations, but it soon became apparent to me that there were many historical terms that meant little or nothing to me.

The list gets even longer if schools and training are included. Listing every job on your résumé may make you look like a job hopper. Combine similar experiences without paying strict attention to the timeline.

List awards, decorations, tabs, and badges awarded/earned in order of precedence. Use abbreviations. Show number of awards of the same medal as "ARCOM-3", meaning the Army Commendation Medal and two oak leaf clusters. Do not list state or National Guard awards.
