CT cervical spine showed degenerative changes at C5-6 and C6-7, similar to scans taken prior to accident. Whilst there were references of “radiculopathy confirmed” in radiology reports, the Review Panel noted that radiculopathy is a clinical diagnosis, rather than one made based on imaging.

When combined with congenital narrowing and hypertrophic change of the posterior elements results in a mild central canal stenosis and bilateral mild recess stenosis. L3-4: Generalized disc bulge without posterior disc herniation. There is severe degenerative change at left facet joint and moderate degenerative change at right facet joint.

Moderate disc protrusion complex at L5-S1 with posterior central component 2.8 MM, left paracentral 3.3 MM, left intraforaminal 3.7 MM, right paracentral 3.7 MM, and right intraforaminal 3.3MM. This, coupled with facet joint degenerative changes, causes moderate narrowing of the bilateral neural foramina.
MILD DEGENERATIVE FACET JOINT CHANGES BILATERALLY AT L5-…
In 12 patients (92%), changes of the cervical facet joints were found. 11 of these patients had degenerative changes of the cartilage, varying from mild to severe, and one patient had osteochondrosis in one facet joint. A detailed description of the changes can be found in Appendix IV.
