The MAP measures basic academic skill areas like reading and math. Scores on the MAP are reported using the Rasch Unit (RIT score). The RIT score is an equal interval scale, like feet and inches, which makes growth in learning easy to measure. RIT scores range from 145 to 250 in the area of reading and 150 to 280 in math.
