In order to run jobs on Amazon ElasticMapReduce, we built a Docker container that contains all the dependencies necessary for running the example scripts in the cc-mrjob GitHub repository. It was configured to run a simple Flask app to provide an interface for starting MapReduce jobs and fulfilling various debugging roles as needed.
