The 2008 Ghana Demographic and Health Survey indicate that about 28% of Ghanaian children are stunted, 8.5% are wasted and 13.9% are underweight. All three indicators decreased between 2003 and 2008. In terms of regional distribution, the Northern, Upper East, Upper West and Central Regions continue to be the areas of high malnutrition.
