THE PHILOSOPHY DEPARTMENT MAJOR
The Philosophy Major Requirements: Students must take a minimum of eleven 3-credit classroom courses in philosophy, not more than five of which may be at the 100 to 200 levels. Not more than three courses can be transferred towards the major and not more than one ‘D’ grade can be applied toward the major.

The first will be the a 5 page “rough sketch” of your paper and an accompanying annotated bibliography, worth 15% of your grade, of at least 10 non-web based, academic sources for the longer research paper. The final paper, 10-12 pages, will be worth 50% of your final grade.
