      I read this chapter from the site listed today and realized how blessed our 319th Transportation Company (activated reservists from the Augusta GA area) was during our tour in Vietnam September 1968-August 1969. This particular ambush took place on 21 Nov 66, nearly 2 years before we arrived but on the same road we traveled regularly.

My 319th Transportation Company (activated army reservists from Augusta Georgia) was based on Long Binh, the sprawling depot just north of Saigon.
