Is Dilaudid stronger than fentanyl?
Dilaudid is actually many times stronger than morphine, but not as strong as Fentanyl. Fentanyl does not administer the medical punch that dilaudid does though. How does Dilaudid compare to oxycodone?
A few things to note about Dilaudid versus oxycodone, and the two drugs in general: Hydromorphone is actually stronger than morphine, and it is faster-acting compared to other pain medicines, so there tends to be a higher potential for abuse than with oxycodone. Dilaudid tends to have fewer physical side effects, such as rashes, than morphine.
Which is stronger fentanyl or Dilaudid?
Fentanyl is 80 times stronger than morphine and approximately 74 times stronger than Dilaudid which is what is contained in the other Rx. The Exalgo is a time-released medication and because of it being time-released, the euphoria associated with opiates is not there if taken as directed.
Is Dilaudid the same as fentanyl?
Dilaudid (hydromorphone hydrochloride) is an opioid narcotic pain reliever similar to oxycodone, morphine, methadone, fentanyl, and other opioid narcotic drugs.
