We look at Wittgenstein's background in the cultural milieu of early 20th century Vienna, and try to think Wittgenstein as a 'Continental' philosopher, an unusual and [arguably] rewarding endeavour. We then focus more briefly on ‘Post-Structuralism’. That is to say: we end the course by giving you a brief flavour of recent French philosophy.
