Can I install a Softail kit on a 1996 Harley Davidson?

Does FLSTF Fat Boy have oil cooler?
If you install this Oil Cooler Kit on 1986 and Later FLSTmodels, including FLSTF Fat Boy and FLSTN you must useOil Cooler Bracket, Part No. 62408-87A. For motorcycle operation in temperatures below 50˚ F., usean oil cooler cover to allow the engine to warm up to normaloperating temperature.
How much oil does a Harley Davidson transmission take?
Next, fill the transmission with the appropriate oil. The Harley service manual says it will take 20-24 oz. On mine it's closer to 20 oz. You'll just have to fill until you've used a little less than a full quart, check the level and adjust accordingly.

For FXSTD: Depress the three external legs of the lock ring, then gently pry the three latches upward to release the back clamp from the back of the speedometer. 5.
