Right ventricular hypertrophy, bundle branch blocks and dextrocardia can also produce right axis deviation. Left axis deviation can be caused by changes in heart position within the chest (pregnancy, ascites, obesity), left ventricular hypertrophy, left anterior hemiblock and complete left bundle branch block.

Block of an entire bundle branch requires that its ventricle be activated by myocardial spread of electrical activity from the other ventricle, with prolongation of the overall QRS complex. Block of the entire RBB is termed complete right bundle-branch block (RBBB), while block of the entire LBB is termed complete left bundle-branch block (LBBB).

Right bundle branch block. As illustrated in the electrocardiogram below, right bundle branch block presents with delayed activation of the right ventricle, leading to a wide QRS complex lasting greater than 0.12 seconds. Altered terminal QRS forces produce a terminal R wave in lead aVR and terminal S waves in leads I, aVL, V5 and V6.

Right bundle branch block (RBBB) rSR’ pattern in V1; R’ both taller and wider than R. the QRS complexes are usually upgoing in V1. usually wide S waves in left leads. bifascicular block: RBBB + left anterior or posterior fascicular block. Overview of Right Bundle Branch Block (RBBB)
In a third degree heart block, the P waves are "married" to the QRS complexes. TRUE or FALSE. Bundle Branch Block . Rate variable P wave normal if the underlying rhythm is sinus QRS wide; > 0.12 seconds Conduction This block occurs in the right or left bundle branches or in both.

Bundle branches are encapsulated in connective tissue. The impulse must have travelled through the bundle of His to arrive at the bundle branches. If the impulse travels through the bundle of His, then it originated in either the bundle of His or above the bundle of His (i.e. the AV node, the atria or the SA node).
