They all follow the same sets of rules and regulations so that the children are all safe and well taken care of. To receive a program license there are many steps that need to be taken. First the applicant will need to apply for a probationary license. With the application there is also a checklist of the licensing rules that must be met before a license can be issued. Along with the application the applicant shall also pay the required fees, complete a background check, a statement from a representative of the department that details the results of any pre-licensing technical assistance, a statement from the applicant that indicates the center is in compliance with all applicable items, a copy of all the policies required and a completed copy of the check list. Once the probationary license has been obtained, youll need to obtain the regular license by completing background information, license renewal fee, any changes to center policies, changes to delegation of administration and any other materials determined by the department as necessary. NAEYC accreditation is obtained through four different steps. First youll enroll by filling out forms, paying fees and registering. Then youll fill out the applications and self-assessment. Once youve completed your self-assessment you can then submit your candidacy materials. Meeting all of the standards is the next step; youll talk with a NAEYC assessor that will come in and go over everything with you from top to bottom. Within three months of the site visit you will receive the decision from the assessor. Finally, year after year its your duty to submit the annual report for NAEYC. Some registry credentials are the Infant Toddler, according to the-registry.org, will best benefit those who work with children under the age of three. Two of the four infant toddler credential courses is the 12-credit sequence are also within the Wisconsin Technical College system statewide curriculum. The leadership credential explored the importance of excellence and diversity in early care and education programs and the role of vision and reflective practice in reaching these goals.
