You can use pivotal moments or break it up into three-year increments whatever seems logical to your life. The songs should be representative of you, not just favorite songs from your lifealthough, it is possible that those are one and the same. Create a title for your soundtrack be as creative as you can! Betsies Life, for example is neither interesting nor meaningful. Design a CD cover for your soundtrack. The cover should be a CD-case size and should include both a front and a back cover listing the soundtrack title and the titles and artists of the songs. It should also include appropriate graphics. Your name should also be clearly displayed somewhere on this cover. The cover may be computer generated or handmade. Compose a letter addressed to Dear Listener explaining your soundtrack. This should be written as a personal letter following the modified block style, omitting the inside address. (See pages 939-940 and 949 of your Elements of Language textbook for specific details.) Your letter should include at least seven paragraphs. The first paragraph should be an introduction, which includes the title of your soundtrack and the preview of the body of your letter. Then in the body of your letter you should compose a paragraph for each of your five songs, explaining its relationship to your life. Make sure that you include the song title, artist, and main idea for each song, in addition to supporting information that explains the songs relationship to your life. Also include a concluding sentence that sums up your main idea. The final paragraph in your letter should be a conclusion that sums up your thoughts about the project and restates your main idea. Present your soundtrack to the class. In your presentation you will explain your title, list your songs, and choose one song (with classroom-appropriate lyrics) from your soundtrack to play, and discuss its relationship to your life.
