All of the materials that you need to use this curriculum are provided on the DVD and the CD that came within the package. You have permission to photocopy all of the materials, within your own church only, as needed. You may also duplicate the DVD for use within your church. For your convenience, we have made additional DVDs available for purchase. If you are interested in purchasing additional DVDs, Activity Booklets or EnterAction Guides you can call Empowering Kids at 1-866-EMPOWER (USA only) or 949-855-0512 as they are not available on the website. This six-week series has been designed to be flexible with YOUR program. We used this series with our children in grades one to grade six. If you have any questions about this or any other curriculum, please call us at 1-866-EMPOWER, or visit us on the web at HYPERLINK "http://www.empoweringkids.net" http://www.empoweringkids.net. God Bless, Craig Below is information on how to use this curriculum: What You Get: The DVD has six lessons of curriculum available. Each lesson comes with three options. First, you get the teaching lesson which is ten to fifteen minutes long. There are chapters included on the teaching portion of the DVD. This simply means that you can skip ahead to the next segment of the video. Second, you get a video entitled G3. In this video the host will ask a question and then present the students with a multiple-choice answer. Each student will then vote for the answer they think is correct. Finally, you get a video entitled Live It. This segment will feature Diane sharing a real life experience about what it means to Live on the Edge and directly reinforces this lesson. You also receive the following Bonus Features: Living on The Edge Trailer, a Leadership Devotional for your Volunteers and Outtakes. The CD contains several pieces: Artwork which can be used to promote the series at your church; The Student Handouts are for the children to use in class and take home with them; Also the Leader Guides which suggest how to organize the classroom time and lessons; An EnterAction Guide for your children to take home and use with their family as a daily devotional; an Activity Booklet which contains fun coloring pages and helps the kids remember what they learned at church; And lastly, the Power Point games entitled Total Recall which encourages the kids to pay attention to the lessons by asking fun questions. Completed copies of the Activity Booklet & EnterAction Guide are also available for purchase at HYPERLINK "http://www.empoweringkids.net" www.empoweringkids.net, if you dont want to make these up yourself. How to Use It: Place the Teaching DVD into a DVD player and choose the lesson you want to teach from the main menu. From the sub-menu, choose to play the video lesson, the G3, or the Live It for that lesson. If needed, the DVD can be reproduced for use within your church only. Additional DVDs are also available for purchase by calling Empowering Kids at 949-855-0512. (Not available online) Insert the Resource CD into the CD-Rom drive in your computer. You will find the following folders on the CD: Activity Booklet: Use these pages to create an entire activity booklet, with 5 pages of fun filled application for each weeks lesson. Or for your convenience, purchase these at HYPERLINK "http://www.empoweringkids.net" www.empoweringkids.net. Recommended for 1st-2nd grade students and below. Fun Pages: These Fun pages were created as additional handouts for your students as needed. Artwork: The curriculum series logo and templates for the Student Handouts and the Family EnterAction Guide are provided in this file in several different formats. Family EnterAction Guide: Photocopy & spiral bind these family devotional guides which encourage kids and parents to talk about what they learned at church and then live it out in their daily lives in a fun, creative way. We recommend passing out coupons (Provided on CD) to all the students that direct the parents to a central pick up location, such as the Childrens Information Booth at your church, so that those parents who are interested, pick them up and you arent sending several home to the same family. Recommended for all ages. Leader Guides: Print out these detailed lesson plans for all your MCs and Classroom Teachers. There is one guide per lesson for both 3rd-6th grade (Large Group Format) and 1st-2nd grade (Classroom based with transition to Large Group.) It prints on a letter size (8 x 11) paper. Student Handout: Print these out for the students to use during the class and take home to finish. There are two artwork options available to you on the CD, either the full color one in HYPERLINK "http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html" Adobe Acrobat Reader (.PDF format) or the one in Microsoft Word (.doc format). The one in the PDF format, is completely ready to go and just needs to be duplicated, but cannot be altered. (We recommend using this one.) The one in Word format can be changed so that you can add your church name, logo or anything else you would like before duplication. (Note: This format does not include the color artwork for the background, so you would need to use this along with the artwork template.) It prints on a legal size (8 x 14) paper. Total Recall: This is a Power Point game that can be played after the lesson is shown. Each Total Recall has eight questions that pertain to that particular video.
