Presentations will be done in groups of 3 or 4 and will include: An in depth visual and theoretical analysis of a particular period of art. -When and where did this period take place? -What world events influenced the art of this period? -What visual characteristics, techniques, and media best exemplify the art/architecture of this period? -Who are some of the key artists and architects of this period? -What are some connections between this period and current practices in art, design and/or architecture? Images of works that best exemplify the stylistic characteristics of the period. Three discussion questions that will be presented to the class at the end of the presentation. Questions should address the relevance of the period to current society.
