Visitors, please sign our guest book on the table outside the sanctuary. Were glad you are here and pray that in our worship the Lord grants you peace. U p o n E n t e r i n g G o d s H o u s e Sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done marvelous things. The LORD has made His salvation known. His right hand and His holy arm have worked salvation for Him. (Psalm 98:1-2) W h a t T h i s S u n d a y i s A b o u t The Way to the Fathers House. As he rests from his wanderings at the close of the day, the weary traveler thinks fondly of home the familiar faces, the friendly voices, the remembrances of loved ones cross his mind. Homesick, he wishes to be there. So, when evening comes, his thoughts whisk him away from the crowded and busy world to the quiet recollections of home. Its where his heart lies. So also for the Christian. He has a home, a Fathers House above. In that distant place lies the fulfillment of his hopes and joys for there the Savior dwells. He has prepared a place and mapped out the way. Those who follow will one day rest from all their labors. Even now thoughts of it calm the troubled heart as it travels the road that takes it there. To that end we pray: O God, You form the minds of Your faithful people into a single will. Make us love what You command and desire what You have promised, that among the many changes of this world, our hearts may yearn for the lasting joys of Your House above; for Jesus sake. Amen. - T h e W o r d o f G o d f o r T o d a y - The First Lesson: Acts 17:1-12 After Jesus ascension the Word of the Lord grew, extending into the world as the apostles took the Gospel wherever they went. Paul traveled throughout Greece. Some rejected his message. Others, like the Bereans, listened for they saw the Scriptures as the way of salvation. The Epistle Lesson: 1 Peter 2:4-10 When a person is attached to Christ as the only way to God, he comes to a living Stone, not a dead one. Christ is the firm foundation on which the soul may safely build. United with others who believe, each soul rises to become a temple in which Gods praises are declared. The Gospel Lesson: John 14:1-12 As Jesus speaks words of farewell to His disciples on Maundy Thursday evening, He comforts and assures them of His way for their lives. He is the way to the Fathers House above. Indeed, He and the Father are together. He is in the Father and the Father is in the Son. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Todays Preacher: Pastor Edwin Lehmann Peace Lutheran Churchs Organist: Judy Bertoldie Point to Point to Ponder: There is something about the life beyond the grave that fills our hearts with dreadful awe and solemn wonder. Even the thought of heaven with its unspeakable glory and grandeur sometimes frightens us, and we ask: Will I feel at home, will I be at ease in the celestial mansions? How wonderfully all of our fears and misgivings are silenced when, with the Savior, we can point to heaven and say: My Fathers house!. Soon we shall be dwelling in our heavenly Fathers house. There, in an infinitely higher and nobler sense we shall dwell secure and free. This Fathers house is ours through Christ. Through Him we became children of the heavenly Father and heirs of eternal glory. In days of sorrow, grief, or disappointment, may we find our deepest comfort and highest joy in the Saviors promise of a loving Fathers house in heaven. --- Herman Gockel on My Fathers House Outline of Our Worship The Preparation Order of Worship: The Morning Service: page 5 Opening Hymn: #355 The Confession of Sins: pg.5-6 The Introit, Kyrie, Glorias & Prayer of the Day: pg.6-9 The Ministry of the Word Acts 17:1-12 1 Peter 2:4-10 Hymn Response: #465 John 14:1-12 Apostles Creed: pg.12 Sermon Hymn: #368 Sermon: John 12:1-6 Lord, Quiet Our Troubled Hearts Our Response to the Word The Offertory: Hymnal pg.12 Prayers & The Lords Prayer Hymn: #200 st.1,5-8 The Lord Blesses Us Prayer: Hymnal pg.14 The Benediction The Closing Hymn: #47 Silent Prayer Pastor will usher you out at the pews "W 5 = > M ÷è÷ÕqaQBh3hACJOJQJaJh3hW5CJOJQJaJh3hG95CJOJQJaJ)h3hG90JB*CJOJQJaJphh3hG9CJOJQJaJ%jh3hG9CJOJQJUaJhQ&hW CJOJQJaJhyVCJOJQJaJhQ&h52ICJOJQJaJhQ&h52I6CJOJQJaJh5CJ$OJQJaJ$hQ&h52I5CJ$OJQJaJ$"W * , . p r t v x z | ~ $a$gddA)$$d%d&d'dNOPQa$gdh$a$gdX)$$d%d&d'dNOPQa$gd3M N x y ݻ|l_REhh5CJOJQJaJhn5CJOJQJaJhF5CJOJQJaJhhh:5CJ OJQJaJ hh56OJQJ]hn56OJQJ]h5CJOJQJaJhh5CJOJQJaJhn5CJOJQJaJh 5CJOJQJaJ)h3h|M0JB*CJOJQJaJphh3h|MCJOJQJaJ%jh3h|MCJOJQJUaJ & ( * , . 0 z b d l n p v x | ±pppp^M?WX$a$gdn$a$gdn$a$gdhgdhgd "$a$gd "$a$gddA / 1 > N R W X Y Z [ 묗udS;.hZhh5CJOJQJ\^JaJmH sH hh 0OJQJ^JmH sH h`~h 0OJQJ^JmH sH h`~hdAOJQJ^JmH sH hhdAOJQJ^JmH sH (hh?CJOJQJ^JaJmH sH (hh 0CJOJQJ^JaJmH sH (hhc(CJOJQJ^JaJmH sH (hhu1CJOJQJ^JaJmH sH (hh52ICJOJQJ^JaJmH sH 9FHI.<㲜q]J:J:J&'hdfhh6CJOJQJaJmH sH hhCJOJQJaJmH sH $hdfhhCJOJQJaJmH sH 'hdfhh5CJOJQJaJmH sH .hIhh5CJOJQJ\^JaJmH sH $h !hhCJOJQJaJmH sH +hbhh6CJOJQJ^JaJmH sH %hh6CJOJQJ^JaJmH sH :hh0J6:B*CJOJQJaJfHphq 7hh0J6B*CJOJQJaJfHphq <WhȶueUHUHUHUHUHUhnCJOJQJ\aJhdfhnCJOJQJ\aJhdfhnCJOJQJ\aJhdfhn5OJQJ\hn5CJOJQJ\aJ"hdfhn5CJOJQJ\aJ"h*Bhn5CJOJQJ\aJ"h*Bhn5CJ OJQJ\aJ""h*Bhn5CJ$OJQJ]aJ"'hdfhh6CJOJQJaJmH sH !hh6CJOJQJaJmH sH (:;=>?WXY[\jkl}͆vvve hn6CJOJQJ]^JaJh hnCJOJQJ\aJhdfhn5OJQJ\hnCJOJQJ\aJhdfhnCJOJQJ\aJhdfhnCJOJQJ\aJhdfhn5OJQJhn5CJOJQJ\aJ"hdfhn5CJOJQJ\aJ"hVp@hn5CJOJQJ\aJ ?@$a$gd $a$gd!*CJOJQJ]^JaJ&hW+hn5CJOJQJ]^JaJ hn5CJOJQJ]^JaJ"h6`hn5CJOJQJ]aJ hn6CJOJQJ]^JaJ hn6CJOJQJ]^JaJ:>?@X[{'0ʳtbQAhu3hu35OJQJ]^J h 5CJOJQJ]^JaJ#h6.hh!*OJQJ]^Jh 5>*OJQJ]^J#h,Kh CJOJQJ]^JaJh CJOJQJ]^JaJ&h h 5CJ$OJQJ]^JaJ$)hnhn5CJH*OJQJ]^JaJ&hnhn5CJOJQJ]^JaJ678KLMlmn$>]^>a$gd ^gd${^gdWl $^a$gdBX^gdBX $^a$gdBX$a$gd 45689FGJKLMekŶnZH4&h${h${5CJOJQJ]^JaJ#h${h!*OJQJ]^Jh 5>*OJQJ]^JhWlh >*OJQJ]^J&h${h${5CJOJQJ]^JaJ h${5CJOJQJ]^JaJh${CJOJQJ]^JaJ&h,Kh${6CJOJQJ]^JaJ&h${h 5CJOJQJ]^JaJ -.Bbc|}~$a$gd!*OJQJ]^J!hvh 5>*OJQJ]^J&h"jh 6CJOJQJ]^JaJ h!*OJQJ]^J yhVDV3 h5CJOJQJ]^JaJ#h,Kh CJOJQJ]^JaJ#hUh CJOJQJ]^JaJ hWl5CJOJQJ]^JaJ&hUh 5CJOJQJ]^JaJ hBX5CJOJQJ]^JaJh CJOJQJ]^JaJ&h,Kh 5CJOJQJ]^JaJ h 5CJOJQJ]^JaJ!h,Kh 5>*OJQJ]^Jh 5>*OJQJ]^JhvhOJQJ]^J !"#123Y[\^_abdefggd>RZ$a$gdi$a$gd !"#$0123STXYZ\]ݽt\G\7/+/hI fjhI fUh4xh!N6OJQJ]^J)hi6B*CJOJQJ\^JaJph/hh K6B*CJOJQJ\^JaJph#hmTh%CJOJQJ]^JaJhiCJOJQJ]^JaJ&hqh 5CJOJQJ]^JaJ&h"jh 6CJOJQJ]^JaJ h 6CJOJQJ]^JaJh CJOJQJ]^JaJ#h,Kh CJOJQJ]^JaJ h!6666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666hH6666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666662 0@P`p2( 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p8XV~_HmH nH sH tH @`@ FxNormalCJ_HaJmH sH tH DA D Default Paragraph FontRiR Table Normal4 l4a (k (No List 6U`6 Hyperlink >*B*phH`H V No SpacingCJ_HaJmH sH tH P@P ~0 Balloon TextCJOJQJaJmHsHtHNo!N ~0Balloon Text CharCJOJQJ^JaJ@@2@ >RZ0Header H$ mHsHtH6oA6 >RZ0 Header CharCJaJ@ @R@ >RZ0Footer H$ mHsHtH6oa6 >RZ0 Footer CharCJaJB^rB 3gp0 Normal (Web)dd[$\$.X`.
