Learning curve can be important even in situations where there aren’t conventional economies of scale. For example, franchised dry cleaning or fast food in a new region. Look at the list of value, cost drivers as a checklist as you work on your plans. Remember, though, that the advantages are only valuable in the long run if they are hard to copy.
