Communicates daily with credit manager on collection results and issues. Confers with customer by telephone or in person to determine reason for overdue payment and review terms of sales, service, or credit contract. Collection techniques that are resourceful, authoritative within a friendly atmosphere that encourages payment with the first contact. Sorts and files correspondence, and performs miscellaneous clerical duties. Traces delinquent customer to new address. Records information about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts. Receives payments and posts amount paid to customer account, using computer contact management system (Goldmine) and accounting system (QuickBooks Enterprise. Manage collection process through appropriate software and written Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Interpersonal Relationships Have a high level of contact with Customers and low level with other team members. Deal with unpleasant, angry, or rude people daily. Are often in situations where there is a disagreement with debtors. Write letters, memos, and e-mails daily.
