Guide a group of children in Bible study giving guidance to individual Bible study activities. Assist the department director in Bible study activities and fellowship activities when called upon. Be able to counsel children concerning God and His role in their lives. Be a positive role model. Ensure the safety and well being of children while in your care. Promote, encourage, and participate in childrens department and church activities, outings, and special events. Encourage children and their families to be involved in the ministry of the whole church. Contact absentees with calls or postcards. Provide the current information to the department director concerning prayer concerns and needs. Be prepared for class and arrive in a timely fashion. Cooperate with other childrens workers supporting childrens ministry goals. Assist with maintaining an up-to -date attendance records and All About You forms. Communicate and coordinate Bible lessons, plans, and activities with other teachers and volunteer helpers. Communicate with parents. Develop a partnership with parents letting them know you care about their child. Assist the department director in working with other childrens programs in the use of space, equipment, and supplies. Follow and support the childrens department Christian education goals and curriculum plan. Participate in Church life and department events. - Attend scheduled teachers meetings and training events. Attend Worship Services regularly. Attend Infant/Child CPR Training. Attend child safety awareness sessions. Maintain a minimum commitment of one year to this childrens ministry. Engage God and others in fellowship. Support parents in spiritually educating their child. Reach-out to others when you are in need.
