Race to 100 game

Number of players: 2

Object: The game will give the students practice with numbers 1-100. You could use this game as a supplement to a 100th Day celebration. The game could also be used as a center activity in the weeks around the 100th day of school.

Advance preparation: Copy the game board. Trim the copies on the dotted line. Mount the game board on a 11 1/2 x 22 piece of tagboard or colored bristol board, making sure that the numbers are in the correct order. You will be overlapping small areas of the game board as you glue it on the cardboard backing. Laminate for durability.

Equipment: Gameboard 2 different color game markers (you could use pen tops or unifix cubes) 2 dice

Directions: Roll the 2 dice. Count and move the game piece on the game board. *Bonus? If the player can correctly read the number, he/she gets to move one extra space. The first player to reach 100 is the winner.
