Huck Finn Research Topics for Informative SpeechYour task is to write and deliver a 3-5 minute informative speech on a topic related to Huck Finn. You must utilize a visual aid in your speech (PowerPoint Presentation, slide show, videos, props, etc.). Review chapter 12 “The Informative Speech” in our speech book and also look at the rubric on page 112. You may deliver your speech as an outline speech or a manuscript speech, but you must turn in a speech outline on the day of your speech. You will also turn in an MLA format Works Cited list with your speech with at least three sources used in your speech. Consult the MLA handouts on the website. Your speech must also make reference to historical elements that are connected to the novel. For instance, if you are doing Riverboats as your topic, what can you tell us about the boat that struck Huck and Jim’s raft? We are doing these speeches to learn about the historical relevance of this novel, so make the connection in your speech.Use the “Note Taking Guide” to take notes as you research, and to keep track of your sources. You may also want to create a document to use as a “working bibliography”.
