Thank you for registering and participating in the 2020 Virtual Annual Grants Training Summit and Interactive Exhibit Hall. Here are a few tips to help you prepare for the training on May 18 – 20, 2020. Unlike an in-person meeting, virtual meetings take a bit of additional time and preparation. To ensure a positive experience, please review the items below ASAP to ensure you are ready to go at 10 am on May 18th. Attendee Sign-in LinkYou should have received an email from Pathable with your sign-in link to access the site. The email sender is (no-reply@). Depending on the type of equipment you are using to attend the conference, personal vs. work computer, browser (Chrome is preferred), enabled settings and firewalls, you may require additional steps to log in. See “Attendee Troubleshooting Tips” document that should help assist you with any log-in challenges. Test Run with Zoom, Webcam, and MicrophoneYou’ll want to have a test run in advance to make sure there are no issues with connecting to the Pathable conference platform, Zoom, or issues with your webcam (to be seen in a video chat or meeting) or microphone (to speak in a video chat or meeting). Note: if you haven’t already downloaded Zoom, Pathable securely overlays Zoom so you will need to download Zoom Client Meetings as needed at this link. Update Your Profile – It is Your Virtual Name Badge.Once you have logged in to the NGMA Event Site, Go to Account, Edit My Profile. Here you can add a picture, bio, include your conference goals, or what keeps you up at night in the grants management world. Make it personal so you can best network with other attendees. Picture TipsA jpg or png image file works best for the profile picture.? A square image of a minimum 300X300 px size with the person’s face in the center is recommended. When uploading your picture, select “circle” and NOT crop, and position your picture accordingly.? Select the white/blue “save” button and select “upload.”? Peruse the virtual booth and connect with “virtual” booth staff in one-on-one private video chats. See additional information at the attachment marked “Additional Attendee Interactive Opportunities” Ask Family Members/Roommates to Free Up Wi-Fi Ask your family or roommates to hold off on streaming/playing using the Wi-Fi while you are attending the virtual conference so that you have the best possible connection.
