Lesson 5

Welcome to lesson 5...

This is where it all gets VERY exciting... you start to source your first products to sell on Amazon's platform.

However...

Let's do a few `checks' first.

I hope by now you have:

1. Created an account with Amazon Sellers Central to sell products on Amazon using their FBA (Fulfilled By Amazon) service ? preferably a professional account, especially if you intend for this to be your full-time income

2. Set up accounts with the tools and apps that will make your eCommerce business run much more smoothly, quicker and more efficient

3. Seriously considered, or already joined FBA Wizard Pro ? it's the best sourcing product tool on the market in the UK, and the one I use to source all my stock

4. Decided whether you will prepare the stock yourself before sending it to Amazon or use a Prep House to do it all for you

And after those `checks'... you are ready to start...

Sourcing Your First Product

There are THREE ways/methods to sourcing your products to then sell on Amazon.

1. Copy and paste method

2. Using a product sourcing tool ? like FBA Wizard Pro

3. Visiting retail outlets, and scanning barcodes (using the scanner within your Amazon Sellers Account) to find a good Return On Investment (ROI) product ? plus you can also sell used products on Amazon... car boot sales can produce the odd `star' bargain or two ? especially children's toys/board games and books.

Let's look at the cheapest way to source products...

Copy and Paste Method

I used this method right at the beginning of my FBA journey, and while a little time-consuming, you do occasionally find some very cheap stock that other FBA sellers don't see ? especially if you look at small retail websites that are looking to offload stock they no longer want.

The `copy and paste' method is more or less what it says on the tin.

You find a product on a website, copy the name of the product, paste it into Amazon's search box and see what it's selling for on Amazon.

Then, you use the FBA calculator to work out what your overall profit will be after all costs, check how many items are selling each week/month, how many sellers and see whether it's worth your while.

So, here's what you need to do. Firstly, to save you a little more money... start by looking at online retail sites through

Then choose a category for products. I usually click the `Offers' link at the top of the page
