Once again, the Board of Education and Administration are pleased to provide a diverse selection of courses to appeal to the needs and interests of the entire community.

The fall term offers many popular repeats as well as a healthy selection of new courses. We are hoping that the large number of people who have participated in the past will continue to take advantage of these educational enrichment activities. In addition to participating in a beneficial learning experience, you will have the opportunity to meet new people and work with old friends.

REGISTRATION & GENERAL INFORMATION

Eligibility: Community Education programs are open to residents of the Village and neighboring communities. Registrants must be at least 18 years old.

Payment Options: ? Pay by credit card while registering online. Visit our website by clicking on the Community Education link found in the Quick Links section of the district's homepage:

Fees: Course fees are listed with each course. Non-residents pay an additional $5.00 per course.

Exceptions: Craft/Cooking classes may require additional payment for supplies. See individual descriptions for more information. There is no provision for a partial fee for taking part of a course.

Refunds: Refunds will be granted when a written request is received five days or more prior to the first session.

Closings: If schools are closed or if school is dismissed early due to inclement weather, Community Education classes will not be held. Check the school website at for notification.

Senior Citizens: Rockville Centre senior citizens (aged 60 or older) will be granted a $10.00 reduction for courses of 5 sessions or more. This only applies to evening classes. One-or two-night classes are not included.

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary boating courses provide instruction to boaters at all levels, from the fundamental to the advanced. Class is taught by experienced and knowledgeable instructors committed to the highest standards of the U.S. Coast Guard. Topics Include:

This class will provide materials and students will receive a boating license at the end of the course.

I will teach you how to observe your subject and how to transfer what you observe to paper. You will also be taught exercises in gradation; vanishing points and perspectives, and how to draw a photograph. There is an
