Rules and Procedures

1. All applicants must be employees of Baltimore City Public Schools and Members of the Baltimore Teachers Union.

2. Applicants must complete the application, submit a 300-500 word essay and provide a minimum of three photos of the classroom/library to be eligible for the competition.

3. Completed applications must be received by Jessica Aldon-Jackson at the Baltimore Teacher’s Union, 5800 Metro Drive, 2nd Floor, Baltimore, MD 21215, or jaldon-jackson@ NO later than 5 PM on:

If declared the winner of the contest, applicants must agree to meet with a design team (chosen by BTU) to discuss the project. The design team will make final decisions regarding the design of the classroom. The makeover will not consist of structural changes of the classroom or facility.

*Note: All sections of this application must be completed and application packets must be received at the BTU by 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016, in order to be eligible for consideration. A panel of BTU judges will select the winner.
