Please include the students full name, permanent ID number, and the class(es) you wish to cancel. We will cancel the class(es) per your request. If you would like to change the session time of your class, email the summer school administration: whssummer@ for Woodbridge Summer School and chssummer@ for Creekside Summer School. We will make the session change per your request if space is available. If we were able to make the change, you will see this change reflected on the Parent Portal as of June 2nd. CAN I ENROLL NOW THAT REGISTRATION HAS ENDED? Although summer school registration has ended, you can speak with your counselor who can place you on a waitlist. You will need to turn in an enrollment form (donations are appreciated) to your counselor who will forward it onto the summer school administrator. No one will be placed in the class without completed enrollment forms. We will do our best to place as many students as possible from the waitlist into the class. Another option would be "enrichment classes" available through the Irvine Public Schools Foundation, a private, non-profit organization that supports and works closely with IUSD. Anyone can sign up for those courses. Although those courses are not for high school credit and there is a fee involved, there are some courses offered that will help students prepare for high school courses such as JumpStart Math I and Advanced Reading and Writing as well as SAT and ACT college entrance test prep courses that might be of interest. The courses are held on the sites of the regular summer school. In addition, they are a great way to meet new people, make friends, and acclimate to the campus. The catalog can be found here: .MY CHILD IS ENROLLED IN THE WRONG SCHOOL All secondary students in IUSD are assigned to Woodbridge summer school in order to expedite enrollment. As of June 2, you will be able to see the specific school and classes on the Parent Portal. Sorry about the confusion.MISSING CLASS – Creekside High ONLINE HYBRID CLASSES: For the on-line Hybrid classes, students are required to meet once a week for guest speakers and to take tests. Students are allowed to miss one of these meetings with prior approval from the teacher. MISSING CLASS - more than three absences at Woodbridge High Summer School:Unfortunately, summer school is based on positive attendance. Students who do not complete the minimum amount of seat time cannot receive credit for the class. MISSING CLASS - last week of summer school at Woodbridge High Summer SchoolAs long as students do not exceed the three absent limit, they can choose to not attend the last three days of summer school and receive credit. However, it will be up to the teacher to decide if they will allow the student to do the work early and take any finals or tests early. Unless the teacher allows this, the student will receive zeros on all assignments and tests and their final grade will reflect this. MY CHILD DOES NOT LIVE IN IUSD YET, BUT I AM MOVING. CAN THEY STILL ENROLL IN SUMMER SCHOOL?: We are only allowing students who are currently enrolled or are in the process of enrolling in IUSD into the IUSD summer school program. In order to start the enrollment process, you must have an address within the district boundaries and be able to verify your address through the enrollment process.
