Ricardo's Background

A trained Computer Engineer, Ricardo is an expert in organizational performance and business development.

Residing in Portugal with his wife and two daughters, Ricardo continues to work full time whilst running his ecommerce business.

Ricardo's Journey

Back in 2011, Ricardo had a well-paid job, but without warning had a call from his boss to say he was being laid off. He then realized there was no such thing as job safety.

Although Ricardo eventually found himself another job, he realized as an employee there is literally zero security, and asked himself why am I putting myself in this position working 8, 9, or 10 hours a day?

That's when he knew he had to make a change and never put himself in that position again.

Why 100K Factory?

Having been laid off, I realized I couldn't depend on a job, and had to create my own safety net. I tried several programs before embarking on the 100K Factory model, which was the first time I'd come across Aidan and Steve.

I joined at the very beginning, with the first edition of the 100K Factory model back in April 2015, unfortunately, this program didn't work for me, mainly due to two things;

1. I was not 100% focused, and was still looking at other programs 2. I was not following the training 100% as it was laid out

Fast forward to April 2016, and the second in the series of 100K Factory was released, this time aptly named 100K 'Ultra'. However, I was now in a completely different mindset and decided to focus on this business model 100%.

This time around two things were different:

1. I decided to look at this as if it's a serious business 2. I had learnt valuable lessons from my previous business ventures

My 5 Step Formula to Ecommerce Success

I was now laser focused on making this business model work no matter what it took.

1. Unsubscribe to all programs, mailing lists etc., don't get distracted 2. Concentrate on 100K Factory 100%, and don't deviate from the system 3. Do exactly what Aidan and Steve tell you to do, it works! 4. After the weekly training webinar, carry out all "homework" within 24 hours 5. Do whatever it takes to move onto the next step

The Secret to Niche Selection & Shipping Models

Every day I am asked what niche should I be in, what products should I source? Many people seem to have the misconception that there is one "magic" niche that fits all...

The answer is quite simple, there is no "magic" niche, and everything works if you try hard enough, have the determination, and follow the training that is provided by Aidan and Steve.

As I have proven, every shipping model works, whether that is;

Free product + shipping or Priced product + shipping or Priced product + free shipping

Every product I have on my site sells, regardless of the niche, once I even sold a wedding dress. So the niche is not that important. It's more important is to find good products to sell and then an audience eager to buy those products.

My Recommended Product Pricing Strategies

I source my products on AliExpress; , and would recommend 3X your buying price. For example, if you source a product for AliExpress for $5, sell for $15. Of course you may need to deviate from this on occasion.

I have even sought products from AliExpress for 60c, which sold for $9, that's quite some profit margin!

Listen to your customers, they will educate you... Don't price too low, you'll be leaving money on the table. Don't price too high, buyers will assume everything on your store is priced highly. If you are unsure, check your competitor pricing and see what they are doing.

Customers tend to compare prices with Walmart and the corner store. The products that can be bought much cheaper elsewhere such as on your store are the winners and where you need to aim.

The Key to Setting Up The Perfect Ecommerce Store

I currently have one store set up on the Shopify platform having migrated from WooCommerce.

Shopify is a cloud based platform, ideally suited to small and medium sized businesses, and is one of the best options to start and grow your online ecommerce business empire.

The key to setting up the perfect store has many factors, firstly, pay attention to the products on your store, make sure they are quality products, if they're not, customers will assume all your products are of bad quality and won't come back.

You must also make sure you have great product images, this could make or break a sale on your store.

And of course, your store must look clean and professional, that goes without saying! But with an abundance of Shopify themes available, that won't be a problem.

It goes without saying, testing is key, don't be afraid to test everything on your store to get optimal results.

Facebook Advertising ? Do It The Right Way

The 100K model focusses heavily on Facebook advertising, the most effective of all advertising for this business model. Believe me when I say it gets easier the more you do it!

When you are spending money on advertising, it takes time for Facebook to find people that will buy from you, and optimize your campaigns, so patience is key here.

Throughout the training you will learn when and how to stop, or continue with your ad campaigns to maximize your profits.

Change the way you think about money, I've spent more than $1,000 per day on Facebook ads, and it can be scary to spend this kind of money, but give Facebook time to find your customers, and you'll be making sales in no time.

Also, interact as much as possible with your Facebook page, get lots of likes, and promote posts for engagement, the more engagement you get on your page, the more sales and customers!

Facebook has a ranking system, and the pages that have more engagement get a better ranking and that lowers the cost of the ads.
