Terms & Agreements

Payment

Tringali’s accepts all major credit cards, checks & cash. A $100.00 deposit is required to hold your date. A final guest count, menu selection and exact time you want the caterer to arrive is needed 2 weeks prior to your event. All orders taken within the 2 week period must be paid for in full. Guest counts may be increased up to 24 hrs. prior to your event. Guest counts may not be lowered after the final 2 week confirmation. Cancellations are subject to loss of $100.00 deposit and must be within the 2 week period. Cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to the event may be subject to a payment in full.

Access

Tringali’s requires that the driveway or path be accessible prior to our arrival. A direct path to the set-up area from truck must be clear of all guests and/or obstructions. Any driveway, path, walkway etc. that is not cleared at arrival may result in an additional service fee applied to the clients order. Tringali’s must be notified 2 weeks prior to your event of any upper or lower-level set-ups. A standard “steps” fee applies to all set-ups in upper and lower-levels not equipped with elevator. Tringali’s is not responsible for starting delays due to driveways and paths that are non-accessible.

Equipment/ Procedure

Depending on access, it takes Tringali’s approximately 20-25 minutes to set-up a complete buffet line. Please take this into account when placing your order. Tringali’s provides the table(s) and cloth for the line, along with Chafers and utensils for serving. Disposable plates, napkins, forks, knifes come standard with any set-up menu (Chinaware is available). On-site grilling includes a 10’ X 10’ canopy, grill, 2 -8’ tables. During peak seasons, Tringali’s sets this equipment up in the morning of the event day or within 24 hours prior to the serving time. Tringali’s returns the following day to pick-up all equipment (residential orders). At this time, chafers must be emptied of all water and wiped clean, utensils must be rinsed off and free of any debris, baskets and linens need not be cleaned.

NOTE: Sterno flames must be extinguished before water is emptied from chafer. Afterwards the handled lid may be placed upside down in the chafer pan. AT this point the chafers may be stacked. DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THE CHAFING DISHES. The customer is responsible for all equipment. Any damage, loss or breakage will be charged to the customer at full replacement value.

Proper handling of food

According to the health department in the state of Michigan hot food may be served in a heated steam dish (chafer) for no more than 4 hours. After this period all food must be discarded properly. Tringali’s assumes the customer and guests consume or discard any food prior to the 4 hour mark. Note: Tringali’s provides the table space and heating units for the food they prepare. Any outside food items brought must be served in a separate area away from Tringali’s buffet line.

Shhhh....it’s a surprise!

To avoid any miscommunication or “ruining” of any surprise, Tringali’s strongly encourages a set-up of no less then 30 min. prior to the honored guests arrival. Along with 2 contact names and cell phone numbers of guests that will be present to receive your order. If payment cannot be made at this time, it will be due 1 week prior to the event. Note: Tringali’s delivers multiple orders with one driver, drivers will not wait for the honored guest to arrive before the set-up begins. Tringali’s is not responsible for any start delays due to inaccessibility. Note: Tringali’s is not responsible for interrupting the surprise of the honored guest due to any miscommunication.

Service fee/ Delivery

The 10% service fee covers the set-up and tear down of the equipment ( chafers, utensils, sternos, 8 ft. tables, cloth, skirting, bread baskets, plastic ware baskets, salt & pepper shakers, grated cheese shakers, hot & cold beverage containers, cream & sugar caddies etc.)

Tringali’s delivers free to all of Macomb County for orders of $100 or more. Standard delivery fees apply to all surrounding counties. Tringali’s has a reputation for always being punctual. Yet Tringali’s cannot be responsible for any delays due to traffic and/or weather conditions. Please be prepared to answer questions by phone involving any detours our drivers may encounter while delivering your order.

Tringali’s does not apply any other fees besides a 6% sales tax. Tringali’s does not penalize the customer for having under a certain amount of guests or charge extra for a table set-up . The per person price + 10% service fee + 6% sales tax is the bottom line. Any gratuities are at the customers discretion and appreciated.

Specials/ Give-a-ways

Tringali’s offers specials where an item will be included with your order at no extra charge. This is a FREE item and may not be substituted for anything else. Sometimes free items may not be enough to accommodate all of your guests, example: Our free sheet cake give-a-way for graduates has up to 96 servings, if you have a party for 200 people, it will not be enough cake. Please take this in account when planning. Note: Tringali’s prides themselves on always having enough food for your guests, but once again these are free extras you’ll receive along with your ordered food.

Special orders

Please notify Tringali’s of any type of food allergies you or any of your guests may have. We’re happy to assist you in planning your menu. Note: Tringali’s will not alter any recipes, we will do our best to accommodate you in picking the right dishes.
