For whatever reason, the people who make calculators aren’t aware that most people don’t understand how calculators work; they make it unnecessarily overly-complicated. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use your new FREE (and completely legal, since it comes from the company) graphing calculator:

1. Once you download it, there should be an icon on your desktop that looks like this:

Double-click on it.

2. A window like this should open up:

Click on the little “New” button at the top-left corner:

3. A window like this should open up:

Click on “OK” for the TI-83 Plus. This is the one we use at school.

4. A window like this should open up:

Click on the little “Play” button in the top-left corner:

5. A window like this should open up:

[pic]

This is your calculator. Simply click on the buttons with your mouse and the calculator will respond accordingly. I believe it does every function that a real TI-83 graphing calculator does.

One tip: Don’t save anything when you close it. I’m not sure what will happen.
