There are a number of events/dates listed in this newsletter. Please read on to see what to expect in the coming weeks and months. Please note that if students are having breakfast at school, the arrival time at school is 8:30 a.m. With the weather getting colder, it is important to know that students are not to arrive at school prior to 8:30 a.m., as they are not permitted in the building prior to 8:30 a.m. Students are not supervised until they enter the building. This means that if students are at school at 8:15, they wait outside until 8:30 a.m. Please help with this issue by sending students, and dropping students off at the established start time. Please assist with getting students to school on time. Students need to be at school by 9:00 a.m. When students are late or picked up early, they are missing important instruction. It is also an interruption in the day for the other students. Unless students have a doctor’s appointment, please be respectful of everyone’s time and get students to school on time and pick them up at regular dismissal time (3:25 p.m./3:20 for PreK and K). Thank you for your assistance!Get SocialCheckout our YouTube Channel, specifically, Lindbergh Elementary School Story Time with Staff! Staff members have read their favorite stories for students and families to enjoy! Contact Mrs. Stiltner or Mrs. Thompson if you need help!!! This is also connected to our school website. AIR TestingAll 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade students will be taking the Reading and Math “AIR” (American Institutes for Research) Tests. This is the testing which has replaced the OAA and PARCC. Additionally 5th grade students will take the Ohio Science Test. It is always important to get children to school every day on time, but especially now that we are in the height of test preparation time. In this way, we can ensure students will be prepared for each of these tests. Thank you for your support! PEAK and TIMEOUT FREE CELEBRATIONS!As a way to encourage children to come to continue to make excellent choices at school every day, there will be exciting parties at the end of most months for the children who have achieved the goal of remaining PEAK and Timeout Free. Students love it!! Please help your child make it to the next celebration by encouraging them follow all school expectations: Be Respectful, Responsible, Safe and Kind! Ask your child if they made it to the Glow or Superhero parties!!BOX TOPSPlease support Lindbergh School by collecting and sending in your “Box Tops”. Miss Bloodworth will collect and convert these items into money to support our school programs!READING NEWSPlease remember to read with your child for 20 minutes nightly. This is a key to becoming better readers and reading on grade level. All students have been assessed to determine their reading level. At conferences, ask your child’s teacher what reading level your child is on and what can be done to assist them in their academic progress. If you need ideas of how to help your child, talk with your child’s classroom teacher!HOLIDAY SHOPLindbergh Santa Shop will be in the library December 9-13 during the school day.
