A. Authorized Personnel. These regulation changes are issued for all Uniformed Service Members and DoD Civilian Employees.

B. New Regulation Changes. Material new to this change is indicated by yellow highlighting and is effective IAW the date of this change unless otherwise indicated.

C. Applicable MAP and/or CAP Items and Brief of Revisions. This change includes all material and revisions written in the following MAP and/or CAP Items:

MAP 35-21(R) ? Expedited TLE Extension Process. Establishes an expedited approval process for temporary lodging expense (TLE) extension requests up to 60 days based on the authority in 37 U.S.C. ?474a, which permits an extension of TLE up to 60 days in Military Housing Areas in locations where the President has declared a major disaster area under section 401 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. ?5170). This expedited process will allow the Services to quickly receive approval for TLE extensions, to assist those who are impacted by the critical housing shortages. Affects par. 050601.

MAP 37-21(I) ? Change TLE Extension Approval to Secretary Concerned. Corrects JTR par. 050601 to state that the Secretaries Concerned (the PDTATAC Principals) approve TLE extension requests.

CAP 38-21(E) ? Civilian Time Limit Extensions for PCS Allowances. Edits JTR par. 053712-G to eliminate the additional restriction relating to reasons to authorize extension for usage of relocation entitlements.

MAP/CAP 39-21(I) ? Miscellaneous Corrections. Corrects miscellaneous minor errors throughout the JTR. Affects the Title Page.
