established in 2005, serves as convener, developer, and facilitator for education foundations throughout the nation. NSFA has state affiliate and local education foundation members which collectively invest over $100M per year in their public education systems. NSFA is known for its Certified Education Foundation Leader program, National Conference, Webinars and o t h e r training opportunities. About the Position: The Board of the National School Foundation Association (NSFA)

is seeking an Interim Executive Director to maintain the success of this organization during its search for the permanent Executive Director. The Interim Executive Director will be a seasoned association or foundation leader with a minimum of 5 years of personal history of success in association or non-profit management. They will work with the Board and established committees to continue forward momentum in the resource development efforts of the Association, the planning of the National Conference (March 2-4 in Philadelphia) and will oversee the membership campaign beginning September 1. They will also assist in the orderly transition to the permanent Executive Director. The successful candidate will have demonstrated successful development work at high levels, superior communication skills, excellent financial acumen, and a collaborative nature. organization ? at high strategic levels as well as the more granular work necessary to run the organization.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Serve as public representative & spokesperson.

Serve as Chief Development Officer, collaborating with Development Committee and Partnership Developer.

Supervise contract workers.

Responsible for financial management and health of the organization including accurate recording of financial transactions, collections of receivables, timely handling of payables, and submission to Board of accurate monthly financial reports.

Oversee membership campaign, work with Membership Coordinator to assure growing list of individual education foundation members as well as state affiliate members.

Responsible for delivery of membership benefits.

Oversee planning of National Conference. Work with Conference Planner and National Conference Committee to ensure strong financial performance high attendee satisfaction.

Plan and oversee all communications to the general membership, including enews, membership packets and social media. Maintain thorough communication with the Board, Committees, and members regarding Association activities and projects.

Candidate Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of progressively senior

association or non-profit management experience. Has a track record of high level development successes and providing member services.

Requirements/Skills: Bachelors degree required. Self-starter, able to assess and quickly make decisions, takes initiative, problem-

solver. Ability to multitask and prioritize duties with multiple (or overlapping) deadlines. Demonstrated ability to strategically and collaboratively plan in a changing

environment. Exceptional communicator; listens, engages and influences. Proven ability to effectively budget, manage organization's finances, and provide

clear and accurate financial reports to Board. Excellent technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Donor

database experience preferred. Demonstrated success with member and donor service.

Personal qualities: Relationship-driven, collaborative, and highly committed with drive and energy. Has high personal integrity and transparency. Supports a positive performance culture. Values-driven individual with track record of achievement and proven ability. Strong interest in PK-12 education and belief in organization's vision, mission and

Compensation:

30 hours/week Contract Worker $5,000/month Anticipated Start Date: August 21, 2019 Anticipated Tenure: 3-4 months
