FANNY FAY GIRL SCOUT HOUSE is available for use on a first-come, first-serve basis by all registered Girl Scouts of Dutchess County. Troops/Groups, Council committees, training groups and task forces as well as traveling troops from other Girl Scout Councils may request a reservation for weekend overnights or day events. During the week troops may hold regular meetings here.

TO RESERVE: Reservations for sleepovers or one day special events may be made by calling Dee DaSilva, Girl Scouts of Dutchess County, Inc. at 845-452-1810 x11.

KEYS & SITE ORIENTATION: Dee will make arrangements for a Site Orientation and keys may be picked up at that time.

PAYMENT OF SECURITY DEPOSITS AND FEES: Reservations are confirmed only when all fees are paid in full. Please make two separate troop checks payable to: Girl Scouts of Dutchess County, Inc.

1. Over night rental fee $ 25.00 (Girl Scout troops) $ 40.00 (for all non-Girl Scouts)

Day rental fee $10.00 (Girl Scout troops) $15.00 (non-Girl Scouts)

2. Security Deposit $20.00 per reservation

* No fees are charged for regular scheduled troop meeting, Service Unit Meetings and Council Trainings.

RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT: If upon examination of the building everything is found to be clean and in good working order, and the key has been returned, the original Security Deposit check will be returned to the troop leader. If upon examination it is determined that the building is in less than appropriate condition, deductions will be made from the Security Deposit as follows:

Floor not swept and washed $5.00

Kitchen not clean $5.00

Bathroom not clean $5.00

Garbage not taken home and/or food left in refrigerator $5.00

Keys not returned per agreement $5.00

Breakage/damage – deduction to cover repair or replacement costs

EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES: The kitchen is equipped with the following; stove, refrigerator, sink, dishes, pots & pans, microwave, coffee pot, popcorn maker.

The building has four rooms and will sleep 22 people comfortably.

You will find cleaning equipment in the closet in the main room as follows: mop, pail, broom, and dust pan.

Program equipment: 5 tables, 20 folding chairs, American Flag, black boards, tape player, picnic tables (across the street).

Please provide: Toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, soaps and detergents, dishcloths.

PARKING: Parking is available for 5 cars in the Fanny Fay parking lot located across the street from the building.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE: There is easy access to the building via an outside ramp.

Upon arrival at the Fanny Fay please locate the “Instruction’s for Occupants” sign. This poster includes the details regarding occupancy and how to care for and leave the property. It also includes all Emergency numbers for the Beacon Police, Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services.

Fanny Fay is managed by a dedicated group of volunteers and is a service of the Girl Scouts of Dutchess County. Your help in maintaining this Council treasure is deeply appreciated.
