The program was ranked No. 19 among all U.S. stand-alone Executive MBA programs by The?Financial Times on October 21, 2013. The program was the only one in Florida to make the list of the newspaper’s 2013 ranking of the world’s top 100 Executive MBA programs. The school also has a location advantage for me as it is very near to my office. Further, being located in the heart of Florida brings me closer to a number of opportunities.Post-MBA, I hope to become a Senior Business Development/ Strategy Manager in an Information Security Technology company and contribute to the success of the company in a significant way.As a Senior Security Network Analyst in my company, I’ve had the opportunity to work and interact with several persons in the top management within the Group. I’ve been inspired by their achievements, which are similar to my career goals, and hearing from them about their MBA experiences has led me to consider University of Miami’s Professional MBA Program as my next career step.?My discussions with my seniors have brought me to realize that, in order to advance from my current position as Senior Security Network Analyst with business development responsibilities to Senior Business Development/ Strategy Manager, I need to grow in three areas: management theory, hands-on experience, and international perspective and networking. I’m convinced that a professional MBA is the best way to get all three without leaving my job. In addition to this, Miami University’s “Computer Information Systems (CIS)” course can significantly contribute to my specific industry knowledge.I would easily be able to obtain the job and career I aim for with my MBA from the University of Miami.?2. How will other graduate students at The University OF xxxx benefit from your participation in the program?Ans: From the start of my professional career I tried to assume more responsibilities upon myself and learned to be independent when needed, a characteristic that has been there throughout my life and it has helped me in my highly demanding profession.In my professional life, I discovered the meaning of true teamwork. I have done things with my team that I couldn’t have done without mutual help, such as perform security monitoring activities, security exception reporting, Internet usage reporting, and end user reporting as required to support the enterprise level security administrationI have learned to share all I have, rely on others and put the group’s interests before mine. The intense schedules have taught me to work more effectively and better manage my time. I believe that these abilities will pay off for my MBA group work teams. I will know how to create the necessary synergy in my team and help bring efficient results by prioritizing tasks and stressing a joint effort.Experience of interacting with other people taught me how to approach and deal with diverse people, and I sure know what it means to help someone new. I will bring this knowledge with me to the business school.I love to travel and during several trips have made, I had an opportunity to meet people from places across the globe. Travelling alone for some periods taught me to interact and relate to new people. What are your short-term (post mba) and long-term goals / career plans? How will a UM graduate degree help you achieve these goals?Ans: Long Run Objective?- My long-run objective is to achieve a senior managerial position in a large multinational corporation that is into the business of Information Security Technology. One of my highest aspirations is to be one of those who establishes, or significantly advances, such a corporation. Therefore, I intend to develop within the scope of one firm. I believe that on my way to achieve my goal I will express my talents and interests and contribute to society’s prosperity.Short Run Objectives - Looking 9 years back, I view my experience in information systems, my ability to deal effectively with clients and traveling as a part of the solid background that can generate a successful senior manager in a multinational commodities corporation. To complete my preparation process, my short-run objectives are:a. First - to acquire quality general academic education in business administration.b. Second - to develop within the scope of one firm.University of Miami’s Professional School of business - I wish to say, sincerely, that in my opinion this school will fulfill my first short-run objective optimally. The school has the qualities that best fit my expectations, objective, and background. The more I hear and read about Miami University - the more I feel I belong there. In conclusion, I believe that studying at Miami University will be a great experience. My colleagues who have worked with me in the past usually expect good performance from munication Skills – I am capable of expressing my thoughts and ideas clearly. In case of any doubt, I do not hesitate to ask questions in a positive, confident, and respectful manner.Listening – I learned a great lesson about listening when I was working on project and did not listen carefully to one of my team mates during a meeting. As a result I made a big mistake. From that day I have made it a point to listen to my team mates carefully and note down important things said by others. I do not hesitate to request my colleagues to clarify if I do not understand or miss certain points. Knowledge Sharing – I am always ready to share information, knowledge, and experience with my team members. I am always proactive in taking initiative to keep other team members informed. Sharing of knowledge and information results in a better team work and it also helps to build a friendly atmosphere. Cooperation – I am a cooperative and helpful person by nature. It helps in working with team members with whom I have differences concerning style and perspective. I usually figure out ways to work together to solve problems and get work done. Flexibility – Every project needs different people to work together and brings new challenges. I like to work with different people as it provides an opportunity to learn new things. I am capable of adapting to ever-changing situations. ................
