FLEXIBLE EVENING, WEEKEND OR ONLINE CLASSES

Think you're too busy to attend college? Both CLC and the University Center offer many opportunities to create the best schedule to fit your home and work responsibilities.

With online options, you can work on your courses 24/7 from any location with internet access. If you enroll in an online program offered through the University Center or CLC, you get maximum flexibility, but still benefit from personal and technical support on our campuses.

AFFORDABLE AND SMART

For nearly 50 years, College of Lake County has delivered high quality, accessible learning opportunities. Courses are taught by experienced professors in small classes, yet CLC's tuition is one-third the cost of other colleges and universities.

Continuing on to complete a bachelor's degree at one of the member institutions at the University Center of Lake County saves you time and money by eliminating on-campus housing or commuting expenses. Financial aid advisors will help you navigate college funding, including payment plans, grants, scholarships and loans throughout your studies.

? Meet with student development counselors and advisors, who will carefully guide you through options based on your interests, skills and career goals. Prepare to be successful by using academic support services such as tutoring, success workshops, research assistance and academic coaching (included in tuition and fees).

? Balance college with children. Our two nationally accredited Children's Learning Centers provide high quality, affordable daytime child care at the Grayslake and Waukegan campuses.

EXPLORE YOUR OPTIONS

Each of our member colleges and universities offers one or more programs through UC. These programs run in the evening, on the weekends, through online study or through a blend of online and classroom coursework. Many certificate programs are comprised of graduate courses that can also be applied to graduate degrees.

You can see what we offer by visiting and clicking "Future Students" then "Find a degree." You'll reach a database that's searchable by several variables. Click on the degree or certificate names for detailed descriptions.

CONVENIENT TRANSFER PROGRAMS

The University Center includes a wide variety of state universities and private colleges and universities that have strong academic reputations and provide personal attention to students. We offer "bachelor completion programs" (just the junior/senior coursework) so students can build on their CLC degrees or on coursework taken elsewhere.

Transfer agreements make clear how those credits will transfer, and some schools accept well beyond 60 hours of transfer credit.

The University Center is an independent, non-profit organization created by the Illinois Board of Higher Education to bring higher education to Lake County to supplement the programs available through CLC.
