Follow these instructions on how to add Microsoft Office Document Imaging program to your computer for use with your scanner or if you have to open a pdf or tiff file to then edit in Word. Once the program is installed you can follow the procedures to edit a pdf here.

1. The Microsoft Document Imaging program needs to be installed for Office 2007. 2. Start, Control Panel 3. Add/Remove Programs

4. Please wait while the list populates 5. Find Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007

6. Click on the Change button 7. Please Wait 8. Choose Add or Remove Features

9. Click Continue button 10. Expand Office Tools by clicking on the plus sign

11. Expand Microsoft Office Document Imaging by clicking on the plus sign

12. Click on the drop down arrow beside Scanning, OCR and Indexing Service Filter and choose to Run from My Computer. Click the Continue button 3

13. You will then get a Configuration Progress dialog box as it configures your office programs

14. Click Close and it will be installed and the program will appear in the Start, Programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Tools then Microsoft Office Document Imaging. Follow instructions here.
