Thank you for choosing Gadsden Technical Institute as your gateway to educational success. The enrollment process begins with the following steps listed below:

Step 1:

You must be at least 16 years old to attend GTI.

(All applicants under 18 must have a parent/ legal guardian present to enroll)

Step 2:

Proof of your identification: Examples: Driver License, State Identification

Step 3:

An Official Transcript from any and all schools attended (Sealed and Unopened) (Transcripts can be provided for ell former Gadsden County School attendees for a fee of $5. 00. Please complete a Transcript Request Form.)

Step 4:

Complete a GTI application: (You must have Steps 1-3 completed in order for GTI to accept an application)

Step 5:

Proof of Residency (Must provide two (2) documents from the list below)

FL DL or FL ID FL Voter

FL Vehicle

Proof of

Registration Card Registration

Permanent Home

Proof of Homestead Exemption in FL

Transcript from FL High School foi2+years

Proof of Permanent FT Employment in FL

Step 6:

TABE Test $15 (Proof of previous Official TABE Test accepted (6) months. Signed and Unopened)

Tuition for Adult Education Class (GED):

__ $45 (Residential)

__ $135 (Non-residential)

IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR ADULT EDUCATION STUDENTS SCHOOL YEAR BEGINNING AUGUST 22, 2011 DUE TO RECENT LAWS PASSED BY FLORIDA LEGISLATURE, MAY 2011

STUDENTS MUST PAY TUITION FOR EACH TERM ENROLLED Tuition rates are as follows:

Students must prove residence in Florida for 12 consecutive months prior to enrollment.

Examples of documentation may include (must provide 2):

Florida Driver's License or Florida ID Card Florida Voter's Registration Card Florida Vehicle Registration Proof of Permanent Home is Florida: (i.e., Utility Bill, Phone Bill, Gas Bill, etc.) Proof of homestead exemption in Florida Transcript from Florida High School for two (2) or more years Proof of permanent full-time employment in Florida (30 (+) plus hours per week for a year)

If residency cannot be established, students may enroll and pay the non-resident rate.

Proof of residency and payment of tuition MUST be completed before students are assigned to class( es), Students may withdraw and re-enroll during the same term without paying additional tuition for that term.
