A-B-C Adjectives

Take 26 index cards. Put a letter of the alphabet on each card. Each time you hold up a card, one of your guests must shout out an adjective (beginning with that letter) that describes her husband or friend. The first person that answers gets the card. At the end of the game, give the person with the most cards a gift.

This can also be played by using adjectives describing the current season, holiday, etc.

Alphabet Purse Game

Take a bag of candy with you to the party (Hershey Kisses, etc.). Each person who wins, gets a piece of candy. The person with the most candy at the end of the game is the winner - - So tell them not to eat the candy during the game. Tell them you will call a letter of the alphabet, and the first person to SHOW an item from their purse representing that letter wins a candy. If they call it out, but don't show it, the first person who has it and DOES show it gets the candy. Only use about 8-10 letters or so, then stop the game and do your party demonstration. You then play the second half of the game at the end of the demonstration, but this time the guests must ask you questions about your job with the company to earn a piece of candy.

Imagination counts. It could be a description of an item, its use, the brand name, color, etc.

Some examples are:

A… ATM card, address book, appointment book, ad, aspirin

B… Book, beeper, bill, bead, breath freshener, business card, brown, blue, blush

C… Checkbook, credit card, coupon, calendar, catalog, coins, cell phone, chocolate, Card,

compact, comb, child (picture)

D… Date book, dollar, dime, drivers license

E… Eyeglasses, envelope, eye shadow, eyeliner

F… Frame, family (picture), fan

G… Green, gloves, glasses, gum, grocery list

H… Hair bow/band/brush, half dollar

I … Invitation, identification

J… Jewelry, JCPenney charge chard

K… Key, key ring

L… Lifesavers, license, lipstick, list

M… Mastercard, Mabelline, mint, makeup, mascara, mint, money

N… Nickel, note, newspaper (clipping)

O… Orange

P… Pink, photo, powder, paper, pen/pencil, pad, planner, phone book, penny, purple, Postcard,

phone, pager, phone card, Penny's charge card, post-it note

Q… Quarter, Q-tip

R… Rubber band, ring, red

S… Stamp, snack, sugar, Shell card, Sears card, shopping list, sunglasses

T… Tea, tablet, Texaco card, telephone

U… Ugly picture

V… Visa card

W… Wallet, wet-wipe, watch, wine (color, that isn't the drink!)

X… Xerox copy

Y… Yellow

Z… Zipper

You'll notice that the same things can be called different names, but they all work for this game. It's a lot of fun to see what people think of when you call a letter, and lots of laughs.

Auction Game

On all the invitations I posted a sticker that says:

“We’re having an Auction at the Gathering!”

Get A Jump-Start By Earning Auction Dollars Before The Show! Here’s How...

*RSVP to your Hostess and earn $100 auction dollars

*Be on time for the gathering and earn $100 auction dollars

*Earn $100 auction dollars for each outside order you bring

*Earn $100 auction dollars for each friend you bring

*Book a show of your own and earn $500 auction dollars

*Bring your invitation and receive another $100 auction dollars

(You can earn lots more auction dollars during the Gathering!)

Make up $100 Auction dollars on your computer, photocopy them and have plenty to go around so you can hand out. During your gathering you will want to start handing out the auction dollars for things that they do, such as anyone on time give them $100 auction dollars. (I have a sheet as a guideline so I would know when to incorporate handing these out during my gathering).

I also will say if anyone is wearing a watch receives $100. And for any earring you are wearing, regardless of where you are wearing it, you receive $100 for each earring. If you fill out your customer service card completely, you receive $100. If you spend over $75 this evening, you receive $200 auction dollars. If you book your own party, you receive $500 auction dollars.

You receive $100 for each item you order. You get the idea....

Ok, now after you have finished the whole gathering and taken all orders, now you can take out your auction items. I have 3 presents wrapped and start the bidding at $500; the person with the highest bid wins that gift. (Don’t let them open the presents until the prizes are all gone).

You will find your guests get so excited that they wish you had more prizes to auction off. If you play games at your party, instead of giving out a prize, just give auction dollars.

“Cat” Game

Guests guess the "cat" from the following clues

1. This "cat" crawls______________    (caterpillar)

2. This "cat" loves in the lake___________(catfish)

3. This "cat" can be found at the ball park____ (catsup)

4. This "cat" grows tall and thin_______ (cattails)

5. This "cat" is loved by cats________(catnip)

6. This "cat" is a high and dangerous place______(catwalk)

7. This "cat" can be a book________(catalog)

8. This "cat" is found on Jeopardy_________(category)

9. This "cat" was a movie__________(Cat Ballou)

10. This "cat" might be found on a farm_______(cattle)

The Clothespin Game

As each guest arrives, hand him or her a clothespin. Tell them to attach it to themselves in an obvious spot, and each time they “catch” another guest crossing or uncrossing their legs throughout the evening, they can “steal” that guest’s clothespin(s). This definitely keeps the

party from getting to “formal”. Whoever has collected the most clothespins at the end of your presentation gets a gift!

For a twist, (I did this for a bride-to-be hostess), have each guest write a message for the hostess on their clothespin. Give all the clothespins to her and the next time she hangs out laundry, she will be reminded of them!

Collect the Toothpicks

For this game you will need one box of toothpicks or straws (at least 200) and a small prize.

Hand out toothpicks (or straws) to each person in the room.  Give each person as many toothpicks as there are guests in attendance.  For example, if there are nine guests, you would give each person nine toothpicks.

Start with one person and go around the room.  You can ask them to tell everyone one thing they've never done that most likely everyone else has done.  For example: I’ve never cooked a pot roast", or I've never smoked a cigarette."

They can only give one example of what they've never done.  Then everyone else in the room that has done what she hasn't gives her a toothpick.  Continue around the room.  At times people will be giving away toothpicks and on their turn, they will receive toothpicks.  The guest with the most toothpicks wins the prize.

Variation:  Go around the room twice.  The first time do it as above.  Then the second time around, have them tell something that they HAVE done that probably no one else has.  Then if someone hasn't done it, they give her a toothpick.

Crazy?

For this game you will need two small baskets.

Pass out slips of paper to each guest.  Have each guest write down something their significant other does that drives them crazy, and make sure they put "if" in front of the statement.  For example, if he wants to watch football all weekend...if he doesn't squeeze the tube of toothpaste right...if he burns the toast, etc.  Put those in one basket.

Now pass out another slip of paper to each guest.  Have each guest write down a solution to any problem.  For example, turn off the TV...shut the outside light off...lock the door, etc.  Put these in a separate basket.  Now ask someone to choose from the first basket, and have that same person choose a remedy from the second basket, and read the two out loud as one statement.  For example, if you burn the toast...lock the door.

This game is a great icebreaker.

The Demo Game

This is a fun game and gets through demo faster you need to make up 10 to 15 lists of the following things to do, but in different orders. You can also add your own things to list.

1. Stand up and rub your belly and pat your head

2. Go to the window and say let it snow let it snow let it snow.

3. Take off your left shoe and place it in the center of the room. Leave it there.

4. Introduce yourself to the demonstrator

5. Put your name, address, phone number and email address on your order form.

6. Go to the demonstrator’s display and pick out something you really like and take it back to your chair.

7. Sing Jingle bells.

8. Stand up wave your hands over your head and say I Love Christmas.

You could add to fill out both sides of the customer service cards.

When everyone has completed their list of things to do then tell all to sit down. Each person should have an item at their seats. Pick up a shoe from the pile in the middle of the room and have that person introduce him or herself and “demo” the item they have picked out.

You can also use this as a recruiting tool. The guests can see how easy it is to be demonstrator. If you have more guests than you have lists, just have two people work together they both just follow the same list. You can have hostess decide who was the best at performing the list and at demo. Give them a small gift as a thank you.

Draw Your House

Everyone have a sheet of paper and a pen? Ok, everyone close your eyes and keep them closed until I tell you to open them. No peeking because I’ll be watching.

• First, draw a picture of your house.

• Then draw a tree by your house

• Every house needs a flower garden so draw some flowers

• Draw a birdhouse in the tree

• It is night in our picture, and there is a moon out, so draw a moon in your sky.

• For our new fruit pattern we are going to put some fruit in our tree

• Draw a pear, then draw a peach, and a bunch of grapes. You know grapes come in a bunch so draw a lot of little circles for the bunch.

• Now draw a candle in the window. You do have windows in your house, don’t you?

• The tree is an apple tree, so it needs some apples in the tree

• And in one of the apples is a worm, draw it sticking it’s head out of an apple

• Draw a bird in your picture because birds like worms.

• Now sign your picture and you are done.

• You can now open your eyes.

Let’s add up the points for our picture.

• 5 points if the house is bigger than your hand

• 10 points if the tree is on the right side of the house

• -5 points if the tree is touching the house or in the house

• 10 points if you drew a chimney on your house

• 10 points if the birdhouse is touching any part of the tree

• 5 points for every flower you drew in your garden

• 5 points for every piece of fruit that touched your tree . Grapes count as 1 fruit, so do not count each grape

• 5 points for each apple you drew

• 25 points if your worm is actually touching your apple

• 10 points if you drew a crescent moon

• 25 points if you drew a full moon

• 10 points if you drew a beak on your bird, he needs one to eat the worm!

• 10 points if the window touched the house

• 10 points if you have a door

• 25 points if you have a doorknob, you did want to be able to get in, didn’t you?

• 10 points if the candle touched the window

• 25 points if you signed your first and last name

• 25 extra points if you signed your middle name or initial

• 25 points if you signed your name in the bottom right corner

Duck Game

You fill a Thatsa Bowl or Thatsa Mega bowl with water and have floating ducks in it.  On the bottom of each duck, you can paint a dot in different colors.  They would have three chances to match ducks.  Each dot can have a special meaning for prizes. For instance, a green dot can mean that they can save 10% on their order; a red dot can mean that they can pick two gadgets out of the gadget basket if they book a party, etc.

Fantasy Vacation

Before the guests arrive, tell your hostess to pretend she has just won an all-expenses paid trip for 2 anywhere she chooses.  Give her a piece of paper and tell her to write down her answers to the following questions:

1.  What destination would you choose for your trip?

2.  What form of transportation would you use to get there?

3.  Who would you take with you?

4.  Which Tupperware products would you take with you?

5.  What would you do with the person you take?

6.  What would you have to eat?

7.  What would you have to drink?

8.  What would you buy as a souvenir?

9.  What kind of activities would you do while you were there?

10. What season would you come home?

When the guests are all seated, hand each of them a piece of paper.  Tell them you are going to ask them the same questions that you asked their hostess, and that they need to match the hostess's answers.  Award 10 points for each answer that matches the hostess.  The person with the most points wins the prize.

Tip:  This is a great time to talk about the free trips that Tupperware awards!

Football Pass

For this game you will need two toy footballs (foam or plastic will work just fine).

Divide the guests into two groups and have them form two lines.  Give the first person in each line a football and have them place it under their chin.  Tell your guests they are going to pass the footballs to their teammates without using their hands.  The footballs are to be passed chin to chin.  If the football is dropped they must pick it up and try again.  The first team to finish wins.

Tell guest to keep their hands behind their backs and.... GO!

Get Acquainted Game

Pass around a bag of M&Ms. Tell everyone to take as many as they want. Quickly tell them to count the number of candies in their hand. Each person then stands and tells as many things about themselves and their family as they have M&M’s.

** No one is allowed to eat their M&M’s until they have had their turn! **

VARIATION:

Rather than talk about themselves and their family (which is great for learning if they’d be a good recruit), you could have them say things about their hostess.

Granny’s Bloomers

This game is a RIOT, and is a great icebreaker for a “stiff” crowd. Beforehand, put 2 big yellow

silk flowers (sunflowers work well) in a small, brown paper bag. Label the bag “Granny’s

Bloomers”. Read, or tell the story as printed below.

My granny was the sweetest lady to ever walk this earth, but at times she was a bit eccentric. Every Friday, she would walk to town to have her hair done. In the old days, the hair spray that we use today was not available, so lacquer was used. Well, for those of you who don’t know what lacquer is, it is the stiffest, stickiest stuff you can imagine.

When Saturday came, Granny was always up at the crack of dawn to clean her house. Since the dust was flying, she didn’t want it sticking to her hair. After all, she needed her hair to look good for church on Sunday morning! So, she would put a pair of “Bloomers” on her head to keep her hair pretty for the next day.

(About this time I present the bag and continue saying…) In this bag I have a pair of the

brightest yellow bloomers you have ever seen. Remember when you were a kid and played Hot

Potato? Well, we’re going to play that game with this bag and you don’t want to be the last one

holding it!

I’m going to turn around so I can’t cheat and count backwards from 30. When I’m done I will shout “STOP!” And whoever is left holding the bag will have to wear the yellow bloomers on her head – just like Grandma did – for the rest of this party!

Two rules: The bag must not stop, and it must always travel in the same direction.

I usually count silently until I get to “ten, nine, eight, seven…” At this point they are going crazy, throwing the bag as fast as possible. It’s hilarious. I offer the winner the choice to keep “Granny’s Bloomers” or a small gift from my collection.

Have You Ever?

1. Locked yourself out of the house?

2. Lost a member of the family while out shopping?

3. Put something unusual into the refrigerator?

4. Turned white clothes another color?

5. Gone away from home and left the iron on?

6. Put your heel through the hem of a dress?

7. Had your zipper break in public?

8. Gone somewhere with two different shoes or socks on?

9. Remembered an appointment after it was too late?

10. Called a member of your family by another name?

11. Fallen up the stairs?

12. Gone shopping for groceries and discovered you did not bring any money with you?

13. Driven away from somewhere while a member of your party was still out of the car?

14. Locked your keys in the car?

15. Dialed a phone number and forgot who you called?

16. Got into your car to go somewhere and forgot where you were going?

17. Put something in the oven and forgot about it.

18. Woke up in the morning and could not remember where you were?

Ask the questions and give auction money for their answers. It will liven up your crowd. If you get them laughing and having a good time, you will get them booked.

Have You Ever #2 (The Dumb-Dumb Game)

Give 5 points for every “Yes” answer, and 0 points for every “No” answer.

Have you ever:

• Locked yourself out of your house?

• Lost any of family members while shopping?

• Dialed a phone number and forgotten who you were calling?

• Turned the white clothes a different color in the wash?

• Gone out and left the iron on?

• Put your heel through the hem of a good dress?

• Had a zipper break or a button a jacket?

• Arrived someplace and discovered you had on two different nylons or shoes?

• Called a member of your family by another name?

• Fallen UP the stairs?

• Gone to buy groceries and discovered you didn’t have enough money when you started to pay?

• Had a flat tire and no spare?

• Put on a pair of stockings/socks which had a run/hole, but pretended it wasn’t there?

Tie Breaker – Done anything stupid, like put a coffeepot in the refrigerator? Forgotten to put water in the ice cube tray? Forgotten the coffee grounds when making a pot of coffee? Walked into the men’s room by mistake?, etc.

THE FUNNIEST DUMB-DUMB GETS THE PRIZE!

Heart Cards Game

Take a deck of playing cards and separate out the hearts and another suite – I use diamonds, but it doesn’t matter.

During your party, when you are ready to talk about the consultant opportunity, take out the heart cards. Tell the guests that instead of you telling them about the opportunity, you are going to let them ask questions about it. Every time someone asks a question, they will get a card. (You can tell them you are using the hearts because you LOVE what you do.) Answer the question, and then take another. When there are no more questions or you run out of cards, move on with your presentation. Tell the guests to hold on to their cards.

Later, tell the guests to get out their cards. Have a few small prizes out in front of you. Here is where you get out your other suite. Start pulling out one card at a time. “Who has the Queen?” That person (if there is one) may come and choose one of the prizes that is in front of you. Pick another card. Whoever has that corresponding card may either pick from the prizes left in front of you, or take the 1st person’s prize. This continues until you run out of cards.

My guests have always loved this game. You should see these grown ladies snatching away each other’s gifts! I love it b/c it give me the opportunity to share the consultant opportunity without being pushy because THEY are asking ME!

How Many Words?

Choose a long word from your product line.

Set a time limit (3 to 5 minutes). Have the guests make up as many words as they can using the letters from the product name.

The person with the most words wins a prize.

Another Variation: The person with the longest word wins a prize

How well do you know your hostess?

Give a piece of paper to your guest and have them number it from 1-10 then ask them the following questions.

1. What is your hostess’s favorite color?

2. If she could have any vehicle what would it be?

3. How many kids does she have?

4. What is her favorite hobby?

5. Who is her favorite actor/actress?

6. What is her favorite item on the table?

7. What is her favorite scent (can be a perfume)?

8. What is her favorite cartoon / cartoon character?

9. What is her favorite animal?

10. If you were in need of something would your hostess give it to you if she can?

After everyone answers the questions then I read the question again to the hostess and she will reply out loud what her answer is, and they would mark on the paper if they got it right or wrong. Then they total up their score. The one with the most answers correct gets something from the goodie bag.

The last question is a great way to lead into how your guest can get free products and help your hostess at the same time for having a party. “Right now your hostess needs something from you and you are the only ones that can give it to her, and that is to book a party so she can get more free products.”

It’s Mine

Give everyone a post it and have them fold in half twice so that when you unfold the paper you have 4 squares.  In each square the guests put their initials.  Then have them tear the post it so you have 4 individual squares.  Fold those in half and put them in a bowl.

Have some magnets and key chains on my display table.  If there are 12 people there I put out 5 items, if there are 6 people I put out 3.  I never put out more than half of the number of guests.

Mix up the papers collected and start a drawing for the gifts on the table.  Once the gifts on the table are gone, I continue drawing but they now start taking the gifts from each other.  Once I have drawn all the names anyone that has a gift in their possession gets to keep it.  You may even have guests that end up with more than 1 gift.  Everyone else that did not get a magnet or key chain get to pick a tiny treasure item so no one goes home empty handed.

Knee High in a Midget

You take 1-knee high stocking, put inside a Midget with seal on!  Guests have to sit on one hand, and only use one hand to take off seal, take out knee high, close seal, put Midget into knee high and get it all the way to the bottom.  (all with the use of one hand and usually their knees; if the figure that out)Then they pass, for the next guest to sit on 1 hand, and take Midget out of knee high, open seal, put knee high into midget, and close seal back.  Pass to next guest and repeat.  If you break your group into 2 teams, this adds the giggles and excitement!  The winning team gets to pick from my tiny treasure gift basket one item per team member.

Left Right Game

This is a great way to start your party! Give one or two small gifts to two guests, and read the following story. Each time the word “left” or “right” is mentioned, they pass the gift in that direction. Whoever is left holding the gifts keeps them.

I left my house and was on my way to (___hostess’ name__) house. But I soon discovered I had left my directions at home, right by the phone! Well, I knew right away that I needed to have the right directions to (hostess’ name) house, so I turned left and I turned left and I turned right and made my way back to my house for the right directions. Sure enough, there they were, right where I had left them, right next to the phone.

Finally, I was on the right track. I arrived right on time and set up my display right over here. You all arrived and sat down. I’m going to get right to work and tell you about Tupperware. I hope nothing will be left out. In a moment I’ll show you a few of our beautiful products. If you left home with the intention of shopping for gifts tonight, you’ll find we have the right gift for everyone. Think about upcoming birthdays and holidays, we don’t want anyone left out. I’d be happy to help you find the right gift for that special someone.

If you’d like to be a hostess and earn FREE and discounted merchandise, or if this is the right time for you to explore joining, I’m enjoying being here with all of you tonight and I hope you are having fun, too. I know you can’t wait to see if we have that special item you have been looking for, so without further delay I will get right to the point of this party , which is showing you our great products! So, there is really nothing left for me to do except congratulate the winner, right?

As a consultant you’ll delight!

Come RIGHT with me,

For our busiest season,

Bring friends and family

And tell them the reason.

And now this game is over,

You’re glad, am I RIGHT?

Merry Christmas to all,

And to all a good night!

Left Right Game (One of Those Days)

All you need is one to four gifts, depending on the number of guests.  Pass the gifts out to every third guest.  Tell them to pass the gifts to the directions in the story, right or left.

"Did you ever have one of those days?  The boss left a huge pile of work on my desk before he left for vacation.  Right away, he called to tell me what he left off the pile.  I left work at 5:00 and dreamed of going right home to take a bubble bath.

After work, I walked in the house right into a mess.  I had to take my little angel back to school right away because he left his report in his locker.  Then, right back home to warm up leftovers with my right hand, do laundry with my left, as well as empty the dishes left in the dishwasher and check the kids' homework.  Then I had to vacuum, give the kids a bath and put the right into bed.  Finally, with the little time I had left to myself -- collapse!

If this sounds like a day right out of your week, watch what I do tonight to have fun and earn money right and left!  Tupperware may be right up your alley.  It was the right decision for me, and it may be the right one for you, too!  You don't have to be left in the same rut, week after week -- right?"

Left-Right-Free

When you here the word left or right pass it that way, when you hear FREE you can give it to anybody! Use one wrapped gift if you have a small crowd, two or three if you have many. I use 1 gift for every 5 guests.

When __________booked a party I knew RIGHT away that working with her would just make my day. She made up her list of who to invite then went over it twice making sure it was RIGHT. She included her family, her friends and her neighbors, even including her children’s teachers making sure no one was LEFT out on the bleachers.

Replies came in LEFT and RIGHT and no one was missed. She checked each guest off until no one was LEFT On the list. Her guests were bringing friends and would receive a FREE gift. It was the RIGHT thing to do. Do you follow my drift?

She chose the RIGHT day for her friends to meet, and LEFT it to me to make it complete. She did all the RIGHT things and was excited to see that products on her wish list were going

to be FREE.

With my kit packed I LEFT RIGHT away, thinking about _________’s party and the RIGHT things to say. I thought how blessed I was being a consultant and having a lot of time FREE for God and my family. I turned LEFT on the RIGHT street for the party tonight and I was certain the evening would go just RIGHT! I arrived RIGHT on time and set up my things, sharing my products that Tupperware brings.

With all of the guests here and the products to see, many of you think you’d like some FREE.

Our hostess plan is down RIGHT great! Check your calendar and let’s pick a date!

Picking the RIGHT products is a simple chore and you can make a wish list if you want a few more. It’s shopping made simple, RIGHT to your door, you provide your home and I’ll bring my store! And if perhaps you’re looking for a new job position, Tupperware could be the RIGHT decision! Great income potential, a flexible schedule and more, the opportunity awaits you RIGHT on the ground floor! Reach RIGHT for the stars, your dreams could come true. Don’t be LEFT out, it’s all up to you.

If there a few things you like, place an order tonight. If you like many others our hostess program is out of sight. If you like it all, please join me, because everything you see can be owned by Thee.

Thanks again, for joining me tonight, the only thing LEFT is the winner on the RIGHT!

The Letter Game

My favorite game to play is the letter game. I printed letters in large font on pieces of paper. Each letter stands for something I am going to talk about/demonstrate. For example: “T” is for Tupperware – talk about the company; “S” is for Storage – talk about Modular Mates, Forget-Me-Nots, other storage items; “E” is for Entertaining – talk about the Open House collection; or the Sheerly Elegant; “P” is for Preparation – talk about the ThatsaBowl, Mix n Pour, etc.; “F” is for Freshness – talk about FridgeSmart, etc; “B” is for Booking your own party; “H” is for Hostess Gifts; whatever else you come up with, but I stick to about 7 or 8 so it doesn’t get too long.

I start by telling everyone to keep their purse handy... as I show each letter, the first person to find something in their purse that starts with that letter gets a TupperBuck (which I made on my computer) or a tiny treasure if I can’t find my TupperBucks. I start with “T” for Tupperware, talk about the company and why I joined, then go on to the next letter, talk about that point, then the next and so on. It moves the party along, and keeps everyones attention – they are waiting for the next letter. Whoever has the most TupperBucks or tiny treasures at the end, gets a bigger gift, and everyone goes home with a tiny treasure just for playing.

Make Words from “TUPPERWARE”

Have guests make as many 3 or more letter words out of the letters in TUPPERWARE! Give them 2 minutes and the guest with the most words wins a small prize.

Match the Hostess

Before the show, ask your hostess the following questions and write down all her anwers.  When the guests arrive, ask everyone to answer each question (on paper of course).  The person with the most correct wins the prize.

1.  What is your favorite color?

2.  What is your favorite soft drink?

3.  Would you rather vacation in Europe or Hawaii?

4.  What is your favorite fruit?

5.  What kind of car would you like to win?

6.  What's your favorite boy's name?  Girl's name?

7.  What movie actor would you like to meet?

8.  If you won the lottery, what would you buy first?

9.  What is your favorite holiday?

10.  What is your favorite day of the week?

Match Your Mug

Before the show, have your Hostess call all her guests and tell them to bring their favorite coffee mug in a brown paper bag.  Tell them not to put their names on the bag.  Gather the bags and take one mug out at a time and have the other guests write on a piece of paper whom they think the mug belongs to.  The person with the most matches wins the prize.

Memory Game

Put several different Tupperware items out on a table with a covering over it. When you take the covering off give the guests about 1 minute to look everything over then re-cover it. Then they have about 3 minutes to write down as many things as possible. Usually 15-20 items is a good rule of thumb. You can then work these things into your presentation too.

The Mint Game

Have a small dish of those pastel-colored breath mints (not the kind that melt in your hand!) and a spoon. Pass it around and tell everyone to spoon out as MUCH as they think will FIT in their mouth –this gets them laughing and joking, and lets you know WHO talks a lot because other’s will point out that SHE should get LOTS of mints! That will be a BIG “red flag” to YOU as to who might be good at doing what YOU do, because they obviously like to “talk” and aren’t shy.

Then, after everyone is done.... you tell them to count their mints and how ever many they have, that’s how many ideas for our products that they have to share. Of course, then everyone is SHOCKED! You laugh and then ask who has the most and see if you can at least get a FEW ideas from some of the group.

But, I wouldn’t push it!! If no one shares, then move on.

But the MAIN thing is that you have:

1. Broken the ice

2. Discovered WHO seems to have the “biggest mouth”, so you can approach them about possibly doing what you do

3. If someone does share several ideas, then BOOM!! There’s another person to approach about selling!! And if several share ideas, then THERE’S your presentation!! You just let them do if for you!! You can throw in a few other ideas after you tell them how great their idea was!!

Another twist is to “wave them up” to get the product they are going to share the idea for. This gets them in the ROLE of standing in front of everyone AND talking in front of everyone! And the best part…they won’t even realize what you just accomplished!!

Murphy's Law

Have each guest finish the following questions.  Award 10 points for each correct answer.

Winner receives a small gift.

1.  If anything can go wrong...................it will

2.  Things tend to go from bad.................to worse

3.  When it rains...................it pours

4.  As soon as you throw something away..................you need it

5.  Everything takes longer..................than you think

6.  We never have time to do it right, but we take time to...........do it over

7.  Every solution adds new.................problems

8.  The other checkout line always....................moves faster

9.  Don't get mad.................get even

10.  If you're invited to two social events, they will...............both be scheduled the same night

Musical Tupperware

The game that I like (even though it’s an older one) is the spin on musical chairs, but you pass your wrapped gift around and around as the music plays.  (Your gift will be pre-wrapped a bunch of times, like 9!!) When the music stops the person holding it unwraps a layer.  Keep doing this until the TW gift is completely unwrapped and that person wins the gift.  Most guests expect the gift to be wrapped 3-4 times but start to giggle and wonder how many times you’ve actually wrapped it after a few rounds.

Name The White Stuff

Fill 10 midget containers with white stuff found in your kitchen. Label each container 1-10 and pass them out.  The one with the most right answers wins a prize.

Some ideas to Fill with: flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cream of tartar, cake mix, pancake mix, coffee creamer, baby formula and cereal, confectioner's sugar, cornstarch.

Nice To Meet You, Too!

This is a great way for guests to get out of their “comfort zone” and get to know each other.

They’ll also be encouraging each other to host a party AND asking you how they can become a consultant!

Everyone gets a copy, with instructions not to peek until you say “GO”. They need to find a different guest to sign one line that applies to them. Depending on the size of the crowd, you might allow them to sign two lines. Each person may sign his or her own page ONCE. For example, if there’s pregnant guest, she would sign or initial line #13 for everyone, etc. The person who completes their page first wins!

+ Addition! +

Those of you who came from far,

Give yourself 5 if you came by car.

Were you on time, not a minute late?

That’s a virtue – give yourself 8!

A watch is 6; each ring is 2,

And then 10 more if your eyes are blue.

Give yourself 5 if you show any pink –

But minus 10 if you left dishes in your sink.

Count all your buttons, each gives you 1,

Except if they’re white, then give yourself none.

One for each year that you’ve been wed,

But take away 5 if your shoes are red.

If you kissed your husband or boyfriend today add 20.

But if you kissed them both you’re in trouble a-plenty!

Daughters are sweet, so for each add 3,

Are boys worth more? For each, give 4.

We’re almost ready to add up the score –

If you brought a friend, add 20 more!

And there’s one more for the VIP –

If you’ll be a hostess – add forty!

The Number Game

Guest Love this Game!!! Give each guest a index card or piece of paper and have them write down 10 numbers between 1-20. If there are 8 guests, put about 10-12 small game gifts on a table or floor. Start calling out 10 numbers one at a time. Each person that has the number gets to take a gift from the table. When all gifts are gone from the table, the guest can steal items from other players (When their Number is called). After you call all ten numbers, the guests get to keep what they have. If someone doesn’t have a gift, give them a citrus peeler or whatever else. This game is a lot of fun and really gets the guests laughing and teasing each other.

Party Bucks

Your can create party bucks where your guests earn the bucks. In this game, your guest will find items in their purse or wallet that start with the letters of Your Business. Call out the letters, one letter at a time. The first person to find an item that matches the letter you call out, will earn a "party buck". At the end of the game, total up the bucks. The person with the most party bucks wins a prize.

Pass the Gift

Before mailing invitations, write a note instructing each guest to bring an inexpensive, wrapped gag gift with them the night of the show.  Seat everyone in a circle, with their gift on their lap.  Now instruct them to listen to the following questions and follow directions.  Tip:  Be sure to bring some extra gifts as some guests may forget.

1.  If you've ever locked yourself out of your house; exchange gifts with the person on your right

2.  If you have ever misplaced a family member; exchange with the second person to your left

3.  If you ever dialed the phone and forgot who you were calling; exchange with the person on your left

4.  If you have ever turned your white clothes pink in the wash; exchange your gift with the person across from you

5.  If you have ever gone out and left a curling iron or regular iron on; exchange with the second person on your right

6.  If you have ever stuck your heel through the hem of your skirt of dress; exchange with the guest on your left

7.  If you have ever broken a mirror; exchange with the third person on your right

8.  If you have ever arrived someplace and discovered you were wearing two different shoes; trade with the guest on your right

9.  If you have ever fallen up or down the stairs; exchange with the person across from you

10. If you have ever gone grocery shopping and discovered you didn't have enough money to pay the bill;  exchange with the person on your left.

11. If you have ever run out of gas; exchange with the person on your left

12.  Now, everyone pass your gift once to the right

Let's open them!!

Pay Attention!

Have your hostess get a tray and place 10 items on it. (game goodies). Then have her walk around in front of all the guests with the tray. Then have the hostess leave the room and stay gone.

Ask the guests to number a paper 1-10. Then ask the following questions:

1. What color shirt was the hostess wearing?

2. Did it have buttons?

3. Is she wearing jewelry?

4. Are her ears pierced?

5. Do her shoes tie?

6. What color pants is she wearing?

7. Is she wearing a belt?

8. What color are her eyes?

9. Does she have anything in hair (barrettes, rubber band, comb, etc)?

10. Are her fingernails painted?

Have the hostess come back in; and go over answers. Person with most answers wins a gift!

Plan Your Own Party

Ask everyone to write down their favorite dessert, their favorite beverage and as many people as they can think of that lives within 30 minutes of their home. Give the guests two minutes to do this. Then tell them they just planned their own TW party in 2 minutes. Give a gift to the one that matches your dessert (or the hostess's favorites) and the one with the most guests on their list.

Pop the Balloon

For this game you will need a few small balloons and some small pieces of paper.

Before going to your party, write messages on small pieces of paper and insert them into four to six balloons.  Inflate the balloons, take the balloons to your party and add them to your display (be creative).  After your demonstration explain to guests that each person to book a show may choose a balloon.  Each balloon has messages pertaining to a special prize; but the guest who booked must pop the balloon by sitting on it in order to get her prize.

TIP: Each of the messages should be completely different and read aloud to the audience.

2.  Receive an extra $5 in Hostess credit on your party

Rhyme Time

Have each guest write down the allotted points for each thing that pertains to them within the following rhyme.

This little game is all in rhyme.

It's fun and it doesn't take much time,

So get your paper, take a pencil in hand --

When you add up your score,

    You'll know where you stand!

The one who's likely to score the mostess,

Is the lady who wants to be a Hostess!

If you date your show this very night,

Add 100 points-- it's all right!

If a Tupperware party you've had before,

Add another 55 to your score.

Give yourself 10 if you've brought a guest,

Add 15 more if with children you are blessed.

Add 5 if there shows any gray on your head --

Add 1 point for each year you've been wed.

Give yourself 20 if you are wearing white,

and take away 10 if your clothes are too tight.

There are 35 points for unmarried girls,

take away 5 if you're wearing pearls.

But before you think this game has ceased,

There will be a prize for the score that's the least.

There's a wonderful prize for the highest score,

So add up quickly -- there isn't any more!

Give the person with the lowest score and the person with the highest score each a small gift

Roll-A-Booking

For this game you will need a pair of dice and several small gifts.

Give each guest a chance to roll the dice (if they choose to).  Make sure your guests understand

Salesperson Game

Before the party, randomly place some product description cards in the guests' party folders. These can be ones you made yourself, or you can just use the little pamphlets that came with your products.

Then, just as you begin your talk, ask everyone to check in their party folder to see if they're one of the lucky guests who could be eligible to win a prize by taking over your job for 60 seconds.

Tell them to take notice of "their" item, and if at any time during your spiel they hear you mention the name of their item, they can take over for you for 60 seconds by reading to the other guests the product description. If you make them up yourself, be sure to have some great examples of the uses of the product. Tell them that you have a special treat for anyone who participates.

Have a timer ready, and get ready to see some action. Guests will usually do anything for a prize, even if it's a orange peeler or something small like that. You'll find that you have some guests who will quietly read their card and then there will be others who really get into it and will act out the uses of the product to get a few laughs from the other guests.

This game was great fun! And the best part was that I got little breaks here and there throughout my demo, which I could then use to take a breather and clean up or get ready for my next demo.

Have your hostess ask guests to bring a picture from their favorite vacation.  Then ask guests the following questions about their pictures.

Things That Begin With “T”

List everything in your kitchen beginning with the letter “T”, and anyone who writes Tupperware gets an extra point.

Treasure Hunt

My favorite all-time game is the treasure hunt because unless a person is blind, everyone can play and it’s fun because every time we get a new catalog you get to make up a new game.  You find items (not TW) that are in the pictures surrounding our products, e.g., I would call out “whole cloves” (in the orange on page 8), or car key on page 28, and whoever calls out the page number first gets to pick a goodie from my prizes, and so on.  I do specify that we allow cheating in this game so after you get 2 prizes you have to help somebody else.  That way if grandma forgot her glasses, someone can help her.  I’ve gone to subsequent parties where they tell me they memorized the catalog so they could win next time.  I try to make 2 lists to use for the same groups so nobody has an advantage and I try to select items that are only found on 1 or 2 pages in the catalog so it takes awhile to find the least obvious items but it’s worth it.  Many times I’ve had to say “I didn’t say this was going to be easy” and everyone laughs.

$ Tupperware Cash $

This is a game called Tupperware Cash

Listen close – it will add up fast!

Give yourself money for things I name

Let’s see how much you win at this game!

10 cents for each ring on your fingers you wear

10 cents for earrings worn in a pair

If you have buttons, 10 cents for each one

Add on 5 more, if you’re chewing gum!

A kiss to your hubby or boyfriend today

Will earn you fifty cents, so I say.

But don’t be too hasty when adding it in

If you kissed both, subtract a dollar from your wins!

Last but not least, 25 cents for you

If you are wearing: red, white or blue!

Add up your money & total it out

The one with the most is the winner, no doubt!

But a winner you still are, if a gathering you’ll host

Subtract your total from your order and go home with the most!

The TV Game

Give one or two guests a small gift. Each time they hear a TV show they are to pass the gift to

their right.

I was THIRTY SOMETHING, living through THE WONDER YEARS with ALL MY CHILDREN and my husband, just taking ONE DAY AT A TIME. We were doing fine, but THE FACTS OF LIFE were, we weren’t born with silver spoons in our mouths. In fact, our savings were in JEOPARDY.

I finally told my husband that it was time for me to GET SMART. I didn’t want to start a FAMILY FEUD, but I’m the YOUNG & RESTLESS type and wanted to contribute to our family finances, too. I wanted to bring in some extra money so we could make some much-needed HOME IMPROVEMENTS, and start making them TODAY.

I went in search in AMERICA’S MOST WANTED job. The problem was that FAMILY MATTERS to me. I didn’t want to miss out on the HAPPY DAYS with my children by having to hire THE NANNY. Well, I found that Tupperware offers a great opportunity to start my own business and THE PRICE IS RIGHT. Part time work at full time pay, and WHO’S THE BOSS? I am!

I don’t know though, who do I think I am a part of DESIGNING WOMEN? I mean, do I really think I can get up in front of a FULL HOUSE of PERFECT STRANGERS for 60 MINUTES and tell them how to decorate ROOM BY ROOM with the products we offer? Yes, I could and I do!

Of course, I have experienced GROWING PAINS, but I’m a SURVIVOR and I’ve been able to spread my WINGS and watch my business BLOSSOM. AtHome America has made me feel like I’m part of A TEAM. I have GOOD TIMES with my FRIENDS and my family CHEERS when my monthly paycheck arrives! WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE? I do!

Now Tupperware may not be for everyone, as they say, DIFFERENT STROKES for different folks. But if you are MARRIED WITH CHILDREN (or not) and have strong

FAMILY TIES, I highly recommend you give Tupperware a try.

TV Memory Game

Pass out paper and pens. Ask your guests to make a slash on their paper every time they hear the name of a TV show.

You all know [Who’s The Boss] when determining if the [Price is Right]. Now don’t be a [Wise guy]. I’m not out here [Moonlighting], just to hear about your [Family Ties]. I know that some of you are [Designing Women] and others are [Golden Girls], but we all have [One Life to Live], and for me this is my [Tour of Duty]. I’m already [Thirty-Something] and have had my [Growing Pains]. I think back through my [Wonder Years] and I’m certain this is my [Wheel of Fortune] which helps to feed [All My Children].

A party with me will deal you a [Full House] and bring you a [Dynasty]. There is no [Jeopardy], and you don’t have to [Win, Lose, or Draw]. So be [Head of the Class] and host my next party. Simply invite [All in the Family], the [Honeymooners], and [Just the Ten of Us]. Give me [60 minutes] of your attention, and the rest of your evening will be [Cheers]!

That was easy, ladies, wasn’t it? But, here’s the catch. For every slash you made, write the name of a TV show I just read. The guest with the most correct TV shows wins!

The Vegetable Game

Each person says the name of a given vegetable twice, the key is you need to keep your teeth from showing, so your lips cover your teeth (as if you had no teeth). Then each person needs to say their veggie and the ones of the persons before them. Usually the guests are laughing so hard it is easy to find a winner! Any laughing or showing teeth when saying the vegetable makes the person “out”. If everyone is able to not show teeth, I give a prize to the last one. This can be a good tie in to speak about the Fridgesmart: now talking about vegetables…

Win, Lose, or Draw!

Split the guests into two teams (if uneven...have the hostess do the drawing). Bring either a child’s chalkboard or some paper to do the drawings on. Each team takes turns guessing the items as you show the name of the product to the person on the team who does the drawing (or the hostess, if that’s the case). Set a time limit to guess the drawing. The winner, whoever gets 5 points first, will win a small game prize. Even though they are in two teams, I usually keep track of points per person rather than per team.

The Worm Game

For this game you will need one small gift nicely wrapped or in a gift bag.

“This is the worm. This worm is going to help us get acquainted today.” Start by introducing yourself and describe kitchen with an adjective that begins with the same letter of your first name. For example, “My name is Melissa and my kitchen is messy and this is the worm.”

Then the next person will introduce herself and repeat back the first person’s name and kitchen description. This keeps going until everyone has introduced themselves and everyone prior to them. As the group continues to pass the worm and introduce themselves and previous people, the Rep. should assist anyone needing help with name and/or adjective.

After everyone is done the Rep. Takes the worm back. Then will ask, “Who was the first guest to arrive here today?” When the person is identified, they are given the worm (gift), and the Rep. Says, “Great, the early bird gets the worm!”
