Independent Biyyaa Oromoo, and the path toward itThe only natural manner for a historical nation to survive in the modern world is an independent state; this does not however mean that within the borders of a modern state, a nation can always survive. The greatest concern is therefore Identity. Why being independent, if you lose your identity?Existence is not justified without identity. This has always been known to Oromos. Oromoness is above all. Losing identity, a nation loses its birthright to exist, and disappears. When an invader and an oppressor exterminates a great number of people, this is called physical genocide. When an alien plunderer and a cruel persecutor attempts to eradicate the foundations of a subjugated nation's identity, i.e. the nation's historical continuity, cultural integrity, ethnic purity, religious authenticity, sacramental values, moral distinctiveness, ancestral traditions, linguistic particularity, behavioral uniqueness, and social cohesiveness, this is called spiritual genocide. Oromos have been exposed to both, physical and spiritual, genocides over the past 170 years. In fact, when we use the term 'physical genocide' within the context of the modern world (19th-21st c.), we ascertain that the Oromos have been the first nation to be exposed to physical genocide in terms clearly denoted by the Russian Imperial delegate Alexander Bulatovich who spent few years in East Africa in the late 1890s. See:The Oromo Genocide Solemnly Confessed by Official Russian Explorer in Abyssinia (Fake Ethiopia - , the criminal colonial nations that bear responsibility for this genocide, namely England, France and Abyssinia (the ruling tribes of Amhara and Tigray), never accepted this reality, although during the 20th c. they used the term for other nations that were part of their own, colonial interests and agendas.Having to struggle for their national independence and self-determination, today's Oromos must keep a close eye to situations that prevail among independent nations worldwide. In today's world, many independent nations preserved their nominal sovereignty only to lose their identity, following an enormous tsunami of definitely corruptive, utterly devious, viciously inhuman Modernity that was secretively invented, systematically prepared, and overwhelmingly projected onto all nations via methodically unveiled technology. Thoughtlessly, disputably, and mendaciously, billions of people were disingenuously driven to live in manners that their ancestors would disapprove of and in the process, entire nations lost their - historical continuity, as they are not anymore identical to their forefathers- cultural integrity, as they are all amalgamated via fake trends and lifestyle- ethnic purity, as they are forced to intercommunal marriages- religious authenticity, as their religions receded to fake laws or new trends- sacramental values, as the fake notion of politics desecrated human life- moral distinctiveness, as Modernity is tantamount to Immorality - ancestral traditions, as they are shamelessly defamed or inanely ignored - linguistic particularity, as technical jargons & anglicisms spread worldwide- behavioral uniqueness, as a cataclysmic mimetism eradicated authenticity, and- social cohesiveness, as pervasive forces and secret organizations sprouted. In fact, most of the nations or fake nations represented in the UN General Assembly have preserved a nominal independence while progressively losing - in various degrees - their identity. These nations cannot and will not survive; unless they react in force, they are dead corpses, dark shadows, and dreadful reminiscences of their past selves. The homogeneity of a Fake Humanity prevails already from Asia to Africa to America only to drive the mankind to the maelstrom of its extinction, and in this regard, there is nothing more that we could do.This means that today the Oromos, having lost their independence for ca. 170 years and having preserved their national identity despite (or because!) of an unprecedented, enduring and multifaceted spiritual genocide, are in reality in a more advantageous position than all the nations or fake nations represented in the UN General Assembly. As a matter of fact, although deprived of national independence, today's Oromos - ignored by the world, tyrannized by their oppressors, but blessed by Waaqo - have maintained what most of the nominally independent nations have lost. Few Oromos today can understand that what was thought to be a curse (the loss of national independence) turned out to be a benediction. That's why few of them know their asymmetrical advantage over the other, the nominally independent nations that lost their identity. This is even more difficult for today's Oromo Diaspora to assess. That's why I utterly advise all Oromo political leaders, heads of organizations, academics, intellectuals, pundits and activists to allow the local Oromo Youth to lead the struggle for National Independence. I know how difficult it may be and how odd it may sound - particularly if we take into consideration the prerogatives set by the Gadaa system - and I admit that it will take a great deal of courage for leaders of the Oromo Diaspora to be convinced that the Oromo youngsters, who do not know the world, can bring forth the ultimate success and achieve the liberation of Occupied Biyya Oromoo. But there is no alternative to this. One does not need to know the world in order to liberate Biyya Oromoo. For this task, one needs to be a culturally integral Oromo, a morally genuine Oromo, and a behaviorally unaltered Oromo. There are millions of Oromos who lead the path to Independent Biyya Oromoo. My statement does undermine the Oromo Diaspora; but Oromo intellectuals and activists, who spent many years abroad, without being less Oromos (on the contrary), may have been confused by the technological development, the economic expansion, the political power, and the military dexterity of the countries where they live in. And this can damage the struggle for National Independence. There is no need for Biyya Oromoo to become independent so that the Oromos lose their identity. There is no need for an Independent Biyyaa Oromoo that would be a mixture of Malaysia and Peru, a simulacrum of Sri Lanka and Tunisia, and a reminiscence of Japan and Mexico. An Independent Biyyaa Oromoo must be what the last Oromo kingdoms were, because those kingdoms stood for values that were diametrically opposed to the evil norms, the inhuman policies, and the Satanic practices of England, France and America - and for that reason the English and the French helped the barbaric Amhara and Tigray to suppress and eliminate the Oromo kingdoms, and later the Americans replaced the English and the French in the support extended to the tribal Abyssinian gangsters. The Oromo values are not for the Modern World, but they represent Humanity in its best and eternal authenticity; the Modern World, after eliminating the Oromo kingdoms, so that there is no challenge to the Western depravity, expanded from the West to the other continents, contaminating, eroding and corrupting all nations.Tomorrow, an Independent Biyyaa Oromoo will not be a modern state, because Modernity is at the diabolical antipodes of the Oromo Identity. There is no need for technology, construction, malls, football stadiums, skyscrapers and 5* hotels in an Independent Biyyaa Oromoo. Oromos can only reconstitute the ideal country that they had before 200 years in the form of kingdoms living in honor, honesty, and humanity within the nature. Only the young Oromos, who never traveled abroad, have in their hearts and in their minds intact the remembrance of the great days of the Oromo kingdoms, and the memory of the wonderful life that those kingdoms secured for all Oromos. For the above reasons, Oromo national sovereignty will come as a challenge to the rest of the world. Because this is so, not one nation will ever come to support the Oromos' struggle for National Independence. This is a real favor. What happened to nations that became 'independent' with the evil 'support' of the Satanic nations of the West? Not far from Biyyaa Oromoo live the Nuer and the Dinka who are now bound to internal strife, fight and killing within the borders of the fake state of South Sudan. This is the perfect example of Western perversion and malignancy. Oromos must know that the Western nations and diplomacies will never act otherwise, and for this reason, all Oromo political leaders must stop contacting any representative of any Western political establishment - and if contacted, they must decline the offer. The only possibly 'favorable' offers coming from the West will be either an Oromo administration within the borders of present Abyssinia (also known as Fake Ethiopia) - which would be the most un-Oromo and anti-Oromo environment - or an 'independent' Kush whereby Oromos will be forced to affront and compete with the Ogadenis, the Afars, the Sidamas, the Shekachos, the Kaffas and other nations in a restless milieu useful for Western, illegal arm sales. I am glad that today's Afar, Gambella, Shekacho, Tatek, Benishangul, Ogaden, Sidama and Oromo leadership demonstrates a remarkable clarity of purpose. Joining forces and relying on their own, oppressed and persecuted nations, they can launch many coordinated efforts that will bring down the world's most criminal, most tyrannical, and most inhuman state, i.e. the colonial empire of Abyssinia (Fake Ethiopia). All Cushitic and Nilo-Saharan nations of Abyssinia must make of their identity preservation the no 1 reason of their struggle for national independence and they must demand from the world's community nothing less than what European nations accepted and implemented in Europe: the 'one nation one state' principle. If small nations like Montenegro, Estonia, Kosovo, Latvia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Albania and Lithuania (all under 3 million people each) can be accepted as independent nations in the UN, all the subjugated nations of today's Abyssinia have the right to statehood and national sovereignty.I herewith reproduce the press release - condemnation issued by the Ethiopian Political Organisations of the All-Inclusive London Conference (EPOAILC) on the occasion of the Moyale killings of innocent civilians by the TPLF regime (20 March 2018) and the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of Political Organizations participated on All-Inclusive Conference Initiated by Peoples Alliance for Freedom and Democracy (PAFD) conducted in London between February 24 and 25, 2018.Stand United to Bring About Lasting Genuine Change in Ethiopia!, Ethiopian Political Organisations of the All-Inclusive London Conference (EPOAILC) - February 2018, strongly condemn the Moyale killings of innocent civilians by the TPLF regime. This unprovoked/ wanton and fascistic killings were occurred on unarmed civilians in the heart of the town of Shewaber, in Moyale (Oromia region), whilst people were doing their daily routines.? The TPLF army went on a shooting spree and killed children, school teachers and women. Despite the army blaming false intelligence for its actions, the evidence from the administration of the Oromia Region and eyewitness shows that some of the victims were made to kneel down and shot in the head. Regardless of the requests of local people and the judiciary’s request, there have been no inquiry or?,?judicial process initiated following the killings. On the contrary, the Oromia Judicial administration head, Mr. Taye Dendea, was arrested by the military and taken away after he openly condemned the killings and demanded the perpetrators to be brought to justice. In the wake of these killings, about 50,000 people have fled and continue to flee to the nearby Kenyan town across the border for safety. These crimes happened in the wake of the illegitimate State of Emergency that was declared for the second time by the regime on 16 February to reverse the loss of grip on power in recent months due to the mass protests that rocked the country. The regime has found it difficult to believe that the change driven by protesting young people ?the Qeerroos, the Fanos, the Zerma’s, the nebros and the likes, is irreversible and that this is the beginning of the end of its corrupt and racist rule. Despite the harsh response from the regime, the peoples’ protests demand for change is tenacious struggle to date that is increasingly driving the country into deeper crisis. The TPLF divide and rule policy has costed our nation many lives and the dislocation of over one million Oromo people, tens of thousands of Somalis and other nations and nationalities in Ethiopia. There are strong indications that the regime still intends to open rift among nations and nationalities by arming and pitting one community against another. We warn the peoples of Ethiopia and political activists to expect these artificial conflicts in the near future and act on it by exposing these intrigues of the regime and strengthen our unity and fraternity. ??Now, the country has come to a standstill. Over two years/ three years of?sustained?and peaceful mass protests and boycotts of the people for fundamental change, especially in central and South Ethiopia, including areas surrounding ?the capital Addis Ababa/ Finfinne have been ?excessive but have brought closer to the end of the dark days of oppression. similarly, areas in the north of Ethiopia- Gonder and Gojjam and some parts of Wollo are fighting for their freedom and democracy. Most cities and towns especially in the Oromo and Amhara regions have been completely blacked out, deprived of internet and other means of communication so that the protesters would find it difficult to communicate with each other as well as to blind the world from knowing what is going on in those regions. In the current TPLF enclave of Southern Ethiopia, political oppositions and youth group seeking for change are rounded up and jailed and tortured but this has not been reported due to remoteness of the areas and lack of organised campaign group. Therefore, in all over Ethiopia, many people are being jailed by the Command Post including local government officials for refusing to hand over government funds, for resisting undue intervention by the Command Post in administrative matters as well as for exposing the heinous crime being committed by the regime’s infamous Agazi forces.?Therefore, we,?Ethiopian Political Organisations of the All-Inclusive London Conference?call upon:The people of Ethiopia especially the young who are taking the toll of the burden in this struggle, to continue to resist this evil regime by working together and allowing no divide amongst themselves.?All nations, nationalities and peoples of Ethiopia to stick together as brothers and sisters of one nation and not allow the evil regime to use our differences as instruments to instigate war against each other. The regime’s armed forces and the security apparatus to refuse to shoot their own people and stand for justice with the people of Ethiopia?to do away with this tyrannical rule. Any more killing will only worsen the situation for you as there soon will come a time when you will be called upon to be accountable. The international community, including the United Nations, The Unites states of America, Europe, China and Russia to put pressure on the regime to stop all extrajudicial killings, imprisonment and torture of all dissidents and others and accept genuine transfer of power to a transitional government. The African Union, as having special relationship with African nations, to do its best in not only saving a member nation from falling apart, but also in saving the seat of the Africa Union. All political organisations and other stakeholders fighting against the TPLF led regime to stand shoulder to shoulder with us in our fight for individual and collective rights,?the rule of law and justice, freedom and unity in Ethiopia. Since the challenges we face are huge and the gravity of the problems unfathomable, we call upon you to make a united stand against the tyrannical regime. ??Stand united against the TPLF!Victory for the People of Ethiopia!?20 March 2018Members of?Ethiopian?Political Organisations?of the All-Inclusive London Conference (EPOAILC)Afar Liberation Front Party (ALFP)Gambella? After a critical consideration and deliberation of the current dreadful situation in Ethiopia, the participants unanimously committed to set a MoU to strategize peaceful transition that would be acceptable by all peoples in Ethiopia. Therefore, we the delegates of various political organisations observed and pronounced the following:1.?????Depth of Current situations in Ethiopia-?The depth and magnitude of the current problems and dire situation facing Ethiopia demand from us to narrow our differences and confidently work together towards an all- inclusive, realistic and lasting solution.2.?????Gross violations of Human Rights-?The TPLF/EPRDF’s reign has been marred by gross violations of all sorts of individual and collective rights of peoples in Ethiopia. The regime went to the extent of large- scale violation of human rights (genocide) which is equivalent to crime of violence against humanity. Through its politically motivated and extremely weak judiciary system, the regime harasses and intimidates opposition leaders and their members, journalists and the public at large.3.?????Delusion of the democratization process in Ethiopia-?The world’s understanding of the democratisation process in Ethiopia is delusional. The regime was erroneously seen as ‘democratic government’ despite the fact that its brutality and dictatorial nature was revealed in several occasions since it came to power. The endorsements of elections of 1995, 2000 and 2005 by external players validated the regime’s electoral authoritarianism. However, the fake democracy was left naked when the regime declared its landslide bogus victory with 99.6 % during 2010 and 100 % during 2015 elections respectively. The Oromia-wide anti-government protest culminated just months after the regime declared of its last victory and progressed throughout Ethiopia to date wholly disproving the regime’s claims. The TPLF/EPRDF has totally restricted political space and repeatedly employed draconian legislations to legitimise its crack down on political opponents, civic society organizations, and independent media utterly crippling the process of democratization in Ethiopia.4.?????Artificial conflicts among peoples as a means of Governance-?the EPRDF employs divide and conquer governance policy by instigating chains of artificially orchestrated conflicts between peacefully coexisting nations and peoples in Ethiopia. Moreover, the regime went to the extent of recruiting, training, and arming militias of one ethnic group to wage war on its neighbours and maim unarmed civilians in various regions. The recent example is TPLF instigated conflict between Somali Ogaden and Oromos that cost the lives of hundreds of civilians on both sides and displaced about a million people from their homes and properties. Such maliciously masterminded conflicts by TPLF/EPRDF are rampaging the entire country as we speak.5.?????Reckless land grab and displacements of peoples-?The huge land grab to lease to rich countries and wealthy individuals, who often export their produces to their own respective countries, whilst nearly 8 million people exposed to famine. This clearly indicates that, the regime has no consideration and accountability to the Ethiopia people, rather only cares for its corrupt officials and defends its interests at the expense of the majority.6.?????Lack of Environmental protection-?The environmental cost of leasing out land to foreign investors, without appropriate frame on environmental protection, shows the regime’s recklessness. Ample evidences indicate that, there are countless numbers of natural species going extinct since the TPLF/EPRDF assumed power in 1991. Contamination of soil and water emanating from the reckless use of dangerous chemicals on the factories; careless use of pesticides by the investors, and deliberate burning of vast forests with hundreds of indigenous trees by TPLF/EPRDF agents are leaving rural communities and their animals at serious health risk.7.?????Continuous military response to peoples’ peaceful quests-?The TPLF/EPRDF regime has increasingly resorted to responding to the peaceful quests of peoples for freedom and democracy with military solutions. It had declared a state of emergency (SoE) in October 2016 and series of SoEs since then and mounted massive military operations in various regions, using various excuses to massacre unarmed civilians, concomitantly burning their villages in many parts of the country on ongoing basis.8.?????Monopolising political and economic power by TPLF-?In the current one-party political authoritarianism, the political and economic powers are intertwined and monopolised by the regime. TPLF- owned enterprises, endowment funds, army and security apparatuses are not protecting the people but are loyal to TPLF/EPRDF regime and corrupted officials. The TPLF owned ‘Endowment Fund for Rehabilitation of Tigray (EFFORT)’, the largest company in Africa, has monopolised all business from little to large; crippled private enterprises and exploited the entire country.9.?????The regime’s inability to withstand popular revolution-?The regime is unable to endure the non-violent and peaceful protests that erupted primarily in Oromia followed by the second largest nation, the Amhara and extended to other regions shaking the regime. Currently, Ethiopia is a country of uncertainty where social and political tension dictates all aspects of peoples’ life. These affect not only Ethiopia but also other nations of the horn of Africa.10.??Widespread instability in the country– It is recognized that the democratic process initiated in 1991 in Ethiopia has failed to advance to lasting peace and stability. The instability would not only become cataclysmic to Ethiopia, but may also engulf the horn of Africa. Resolving inter-state and intra-state political tensions on time; promoting democracy and equality and robust policy on reducing poverty and creating favourable conditions for economic prosperity will be critical for region’s stability and defeating terrorism in the region.PurposeThis MoU stressed the severity of the situation in Ethiopia and established workable framework for resolving the current crises in unison sooner than later. The key objectives of the conference were bringing together all opposition groups of Ethiopia irrespective of their political and ideological differences and openly discuss on dire situation to identify the underlying causes for unfolding tragedies in Ethiopia and devise a realistic strategy to remove the cause and devise lasting peace and stability in the country.Planned ActivitiesThis conference set in motion a process of genuine democratization to resolve the current crisis in Ethiopia through the following mechanisms and activities:1.?????Unconditionally work together with determination and dedication during the pre and post TPLF/EPRDF regime.2.?????Urge the Ethiopian peoples and political forces within the country and in the Diaspora to actively participate in peacefully resolving the current crisis in Ethiopia.3.?????Conduct a similar all-inclusive National Conference on peace and democracy within the shortest time scale possible.4.?????Call upon all friends of the peoples of Ethiopia and the international community to support this initiative to bring about lasting peace by resolving outstanding political issues and enduring and genuine democracy to the country.5.?????Prepare a comprehensive all-inclusive roadmap for a Transitional arrangement- based on negotiations and agreement reached upon with all political forces of Ethiopia during its forthcoming all-inclusive international conference/s.6.?????Facilitate all-inclusive transitional Conference in Ethiopia and work in unison a programme of transition and establish an all-inclusive transitional post-TPLF/EPRDF government.7.?????Unconditionally respect and uphold all fundamental human rights including individual, collective and the rights to self-determination.8.?????Build the necessary institutions for democratic transition including non-partisan electoral board.9.?????Honour and respect the souls of all peoples murdered by the TPLF/EPRDF’s barbaric regime in the past 27 years in Ethiopia whilst seeking justice.10.??Create an independent truth and reconciliation commission in Ethiopia.11.??Create a non-discriminatory legislative framework against nations and peoples in Ethiopia that is based on categories such as their numbers, identity, culture, religion, gender, and skin colour. The conference has established a Coordinating Committee and its Executive comprising high level representatives from the participating political forces to liaise and follow-up the process of convening the next conference/s and establishing the support of the peoples in Ethiopia and the international community. The political forces Ethiopia that participated in this conference call on all other Ethiopian political organisations, stakeholders and civil organisation both at home and abroad to set aside minor differences and unite against the TPLF regime; support the struggle at home, work to create an all-inclusive transitional government which will facilitates the creation of non-partisan institutions that can ultimately establish a democratic arrangement in Ethiopia. Finally, the conference participants express their profound appreciation and gratitude to PAFD for initiating, coordinating and delivering this international conference thereby enabling us all to come together and agree to work together to find a proper cure for the ongoing malignancy in the country. We also fully endorse and appreciate the USA’s legislative body for crafting HR128 on behalf of the peoples of Ethiopia.DurationThis MOU shall be effective as of 25th?February 2018 and will remain in effect until amended or repealed through a consensus of the organization representatives in the Co-coordinating committee and it may be made at any regular meeting, or at special meeting called for this purpose, provided by a written notice of the chairman of the intended Organization for a change.
