School Report Card Reminder ? Review/Data Entry Period Open

Schools and districts now have access to a new preview view of their School Report Card (SRC). The "preview dashboard" function can be used to verify landing page details (e.g., school and district demographic data, school board and/or council members) not included in the domain areas. It also allows for a preview of the public SRC site.

There is not an active approval process for this function. Please review and make updates as needed to ensure the data is accurate for public release. The QA worksheet provides details on how to fix landing page detail. If changes are made, please notify the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) point of contact so the data can be refreshed. The "preview dashboard" feature is available to the right of the approval, download options (see example below).

As a reminder, several deadlines are approaching for data entry and review of School Report Card items:

1. Aug. 30 is the deadline for entering collection items, including: Safety Precautionary Measures, Community, Technology, and Virtual and Performing Arts, Career Studies, World Languages, and Health and Physical Education (School Profile Data). Note: The "downloads" function can be used to export all collection items for quality assurance review of data entered.

2. Sept. 6 is the deadline for approving data available in the Overview, Education Opportunity and Transition Readiness domains. If a school/district corrects 2018-2019 data in Infinite Campus during the approval process, the appropriate KDE office must be contacted to ensure the new data is loaded into the SRC. Office contacts can be found on the SRC-Quality Assurance Worksheet. Note: It is a local decision whether data must be approved at the school level or if the district level approval is sufficient.

3. Oct. 1 is the deadline for having the School Profile Report complete. Since the report must be signed by school-based decision making council members, principals and superintendents, it is recommended that the report be printed by Sept. 6 when data is approved.

Visit the SRC Resource page on KDE's website for more details and prior communications on these topics.
