• Banking System – ppl borrowed more money than they could afford to repay. Banks lost money they had loaned. Many ppl lost their life savings.

• Reduction in Purchasing – ppl had no money to buy goods, so companies produced less and had to let go employees.

• Overproduction of Crops – too many crops were grown which led to HUGE drop in prices. Farmers either burned their extra crops or stopped growing them at all

Provided jobs for young single men to build forest trails, roads, plant trees, etc

Restricted crop production to increase crop value and give farmers stability
