Programme Structure Minimum credit requirement for the conversion programme is 60. Normally students are required to attend classes on two evenings plus Saturday afternoon. The minimum duration to complete the programme is 2 years, including 4 regular semesters and 2 summer semesters. The maximum duration is 4 years.

The 12 basic and advanced required courses will provide you with a thorough grounding in the underpinning disciplines and functions of business. The core courses helps you develop skills of decision making in the context of business operations. In the second year, you will be able to integrate business concepts and different functional areas of business through progression from basic to advanced core courses. More importantly, you will have an opportunity to further develop your strength in at least two business disciplines and to enhance your competitive capabilities through selection of electives.

Students lacking sufficient foundation in business disciplines are advised to take the foundation electives before proceeding with the core and advanced courses.

# Foundation electives (only applicable to 2004 intake and thereafter) are assigned by the Faculty for students with comparable qualifications (those who have a solid background in other disciplines, e.g. AD in Computing, Tourism Management etc). Students taking foundation electives will have the credits counted towards the Free Elective Requirement. Without prior approval, students cannot take foundation electives to fulfill the free elective requirement.
