Part II: Project Description
1. Please provide an Abstract of the project comprehensible to a non-specialist (no more than 300 words)
2. Please describe the micro-modules that you plan to produce (no more than 300 words)
• Examples include short lecture, demonstration, hands-on activity, assessment items etc.
• What pedagogical goals will be achieved by the micro-modules?
• Who (the applicant, or hired RA, etc.) and how (annotated PPT, video-taping experiments, video-taping actual lesson, outdoor video-taping of historical sites, etc.)
• If other assistants are to be hired, please specific their grades and their duties and work.
• Is specific technology (e.g., professional video-taping) involved in the production? Explain the necessity, if any.
• Please specify the duration of the micro-modules to be developed.
3. Can the micro-modules developed be used by other courses? If yes, please describe. (no more than 100 words)
4. How many micro-modules will be produced? In particular, to align with the University’s plan, how many will be produced by October 2017? (no more than 50 words)
5. Please describe how the micro-modules will be used in your course(s). (no more than 300 words). Please also provide a list of the micro-modules, the objective(s) of each, and their relation to the course(s) to be taught.
6. Please include a clear evaluation plan (no more than 300 words).
• Possible strategies to use include student surveys, focus-group interviews, scrutiny of web logs, teachers’ reflections, and direct evidence of learning outcomes (obtained by evaluating students’ works).
