! See your principal for the login id, password, and feature passcode.

! There are no individual teacher accounts for EducationCity. It is a whole school account. To get into the "teacher area" everyone uses the "feature passcode." The feature passcode is only for teachers and it's used to set up your class and your "city".

Next

! Click on "Teacher Area" ! You will see 7 tabs on the left side that allow you

to do various tasks in the program. ! You have to enter the "Feature Password" each

time you need to work in these areas.

Adding A New Class

! To put your students into Edcity click on the "Student Management" tab on the left.

! In the middle you will see a section called "Manage Student Details." This is where you put your students into Edcity.

! Click on "User Guide" and you will have step by step instructions for entering students.

! You must have your class entered before setting up your "city" with activities.

! Your students will be given an id and password

Annual Class Transfer

! Some of you have students and classes already in Edcity from last year. ! To transfer students from previous classes, click on "Student

Management", then "Annual Class Transfer" ! Click on "Users guide" to help you with this section. ! In this section you can transfer last year's preK, K, & 1st, to their

current class. ! You can also create a new class in this section. The next slide will

describe another section to create a new class as well.

Creating a city with activities

! Click on "Teacher Features"

! In this area you can do the following:

! Success Tracker: monitors the success of individual students or the class.

! Standards Map: links every activity to a learning objective. ! Set myCity: where you create and group classroom content for students

to work through.

! Set Homework: this costs extra and not sure if this was purchased.

! To set up your city, click on "Set myCity" then enter the feature passcode. ! Give it a minute to load. ! Once you are in the "Set myCity" area, then click on the "Users Guide" on

the left because this is a newer users guide. ! You now have to create a folder before you create your city. You will see a

few folders already there. ! After you create a folder for yourself, you create your city then add your

class and activities to your city.
